I love me some Indian food! I moved to texas in Oct 2018 and have sorely missed my favorite Indian joint in Salt Lake City, UT...but...I think I just found my replacement here in DFW!! This place has, by far, the best Indian food that I've had in Texas! The food is rich and spicy as hell, the cuts of meat are perfect and not fatty, and the garlic naan bread is probably the best thing since Cokes were a nickel! Try this place! It's friggin' awesome!

Very good authentic Chettinad meal. There weekday business lunch was sufficient enough for a lunch and is a combination of rice as well as few types of curries, tasty.

Totally disappointed with the way the Manager treated with us.

I wish i could give zero star. Worst service. Manager is rude and he made us eat fast because they were in hurry. Food was served cold and the manager argued with us that no it is not cold as if we were lying on that. He didnt even changed our cold food. We left our food and left. I will never recommend anyone for this place. Worst place to go.

I visited this place for a weekday lunch with office colleagues. The place specializes in South Indian cuisine. Here is my perspective about the place. Food (3/5) - I tried their Paneer Biryani. It was served with veg korma curry and raita. The biryani had good chunks of paneer and the portion size was good for 1 person. I was expecting it to be spicy but it wasn't spicy at all. So, I didn't like it that much. The raita was good though. Ambience (4/5) - The place has a good ambience for a dining experience. The sketches on the walls are good and soothing to eyes. Service (4/5) - The staff was polite and food was served quick. The ambience and service is good but the dish I tried, I didn't like it much. Maybe can give some other dish a try next time.

We had mutton Briyani for dinning in on 8/17 and packed the rest of the food with out using any plastic wrapper but in the box they provided. Upon opening and eating at home, we found the plastic sheet and discarded it immediately!! Glad that we didn't eat it or feed our kids without noticing the plastic material! Not impressed with our visit:(

I've dined at their restaurants in India, the UAE and on the West Coast of the US, and now in the DFW area! Anjappar has always been known as a stalwart of spreading Chettinad food the world over along with the Karaikudi brand, but I much prefer these guys. The food is spicy, and the varieties on their menu are endless. I usually go for their set meals (to those who are new to this type of cuisine, a "meal" usually comes with rice, some type of bread, a variety of veggie sides and usually some sort of protein, (chicken/mutton/fish in the case of this restaurant) , but this time around I went for the following: 1. Parottas with veg kurma - Two Malabar style parottas (a type of bread done with maida (bleached white flour) that is flaky and crisp on the outside, chewy in the middle, and that went with a kurma (white gravy laden with spices, potatoes, peas and carrots). The parottas were authentic and flavorful and the kurma side was plentiful. Delish! 5/5 2. Anjappar special chicken - Chicken roasted with spices and cut into smaller pieces. You have options to have it dry or as a gravy and I went with the former, and served with naan bread. Unfortunately, I felt the chicken was a little dry (not in terms of the preparation because that's what I wanted) in terms of overcooked. The naan was fine. 3/5 3. Mixed fried rice - Indo-Chinese this time around, no biryani for me. Basmati rice cooked with generous amounts of protein that included chicken, mutton and shrimp. Even though it is priced on the higher side at around $13, the portion is well worth it. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the inclusion of whole spices like they do in a biryani. I get it, it adds flavor, but I'd rather not take a big bite of one of these and destroy my palate when I didn't expect it - because its FRIED RICE, not BIRYANI :(. 4/5

Soup tastes like old curry. Food lukewarm. Shocking because this used to be one of the best:(

I was at this restaurant a few back. Their tandoori fish is simply fantastic as is their shrimp. Do not forget to try the lamb bone soup. The serving size is modest, but the taste is memorable. They also seem to have a great selection of Indo-Chinese selections. My favorite was the mutton fried rice! The food was FANTASTIC! We will definitely come back. The menu has a VERY wide selection, it was hard to choose. Can't wait to go back!

I have ordered lunch through UBER eats today .Honestly I am a regular customer but had a very bad experience with the food I ordered. No items are good except fish finger. I really don't know about the kitchen folks how they are preparing. Looks like all the items are pretty old and not taste good. Please be honest before you handover the food to customer. It's hard earned money and ready to spend for quality food.if you are not able to satisfy the customer with good food bring this to higher management....

Authentic South Indian (Tamil) restaurant, really yummy food and the menu has lot of variety to choose from. People who like Indian spicy food will enjoy this place a lot.

It was very bad experience, I ordered deer biryani, it was served with cockroach, boiled egg with outer shell, we informed to the server, he said it is spices, but I am from Hyderabad, I am eating biryani from my childhood.. I know what kind of spices would be used and the taste of it. We asked for the check and they bought the check and we are still eating, after 10 seconds they came asking for the check even they can see that we are still eating. They want to throw us from restaurant after taking the payment. Everyone will go to the restaurant to spend time with someone and enjoying the food. It was the worst experience. Please don't go there.
