2023 review - This place is oddly expensive considering that it’s not fancy restaurant or have any waitresses. $37 for chicken and goat Biriyani is little outrageous to be honest. The last time I paid that kind of price for Biriyani was in Santa Clara, CA. The food was good but I don’t think middle class working family can eat here on weekly basis.
2025 Review- 3 years back I gave this place 2 star, but looks this place has completely charged for good. Haydrabadi Biriyani was the best. It’s best to eat in the restaurant than to take out. The quality and quality both met my expectations. Best to eat after they open for lunch or when dinner start.

Chicken 65 and mutton biryani were excellent. Only downside is the amount of time it takes to make the food. (~30 mins)

Ordered Hyderabadi dum biryani chicken. Was handed out plain color rice with really few pieces of chicken (mainly drumsticks) which became a total embarrassment infront of guests I had invited. When called to inform the restaurant was just given run arounds (manager not available) was told to be called back never got a call back. Front staff was clueless as expected. This was a total disappointment as this restaurant used to be a lot better. Looks like they are cutting corners everywhere decreased the quantity and quality went downhill aswell. Total disappointment.

Deccan Grill Irving is hands-down one of the best Indian/Pakistani spots in the DFW area!
Dont miss their MUTTON CHOPS, Shaadiyon Wala RED Chicken, seekh kebabs and chicken boti are perfectly spiced, super juicy.
Their mutton biryani is fragrant and packed with tender meat – easily some of the best I’ve had outside of Hyderabad.
The naan is fresh and fluffy, the mint chutney and raita are spot-on, and portions are very generous. Service is quick and friendly even when they’re packed on weekends.
The place is always clean and has a nice family-friendly vibe.
Sithaphal Malai Taste Another Level.
If you love authentic Hyderabadi/Deccani food, this is a must-visit. Already planning my next trip back for the haleem..
Highly recommend – 10/10! 🔥

Amazing food. Hyderabadi dum goat biryani is the best in the whole metroplex. They have lots of other options as well.
Dum ka chicken, kadai chicken are also very good. Do ask for today’s special. Sometimes they make excellent dishes for Catering and will offer for dining as well. Highly recommend this place.

Very disappoints we came all the way from houston to have biryani and they said closed for private buffet and nothing was notified online or on notice board. And they are not even bothered to offer table at all after knowing we have family. To satisfy new customers dont forget your old once Siraj Bhai.

Mixed Experience at Deccan Grill
Both biryanis we ordered were delicious and well-prepared. However, we were disappointed to discover a piece of plastic in our chicken biryani. While we’re unsure whether this occurred during cooking or packaging, it was concerning nonetheless.
To their credit, the restaurant immediately refunded our payment when we brought this to their attention. Despite their prompt response, this incident has left us with doubts about their quality control standards.
Mutton Haleem was excellent. Hyderabad mutton dum biryani added with saffron. Tasty was okay.
