Their food is yummie………to say the least.!! I absolutely love their non- veg meal options….which definitely come with an authentic dash of taste and spice……the place also has a very chill vibe and the seating comes with an outdoor space as wellllll….. would definitely recommend this place to someone looking to enjoy their night and have a good time

We have eaten here for over a year but tonight was the last time. We had a roach or other bug in our food at the bottom of the container. That means it wasn't just on top but it was mixed into the food. We unfortunately found it after taking a bite and tasting something funny almost chemical and like almond extract. We ordered 2 chicken dishes and vegetable curry Please do thorough cleaning and fumigation. This is unacceptable from any food establishment. How did the staff not catch it while cooking or prepping their items? Is it old food left out for bugs to eat?

Was very excited to try this place, ordered samosa, chaat pakora tea and pastry and cupcakes pakora was very greasy samosa was refried and old only chaat and tea were good, the ambience was very good though.

I see a lot of potential in this place and want to help elevate the experience. Here are some pointers that could make a difference:
Mandi Rice: I enjoyed the rice, but the chicken should be roasted rather than frying it twice. Authentic mandi in Tolichowki includes tomato Salan and Paya on the side, a garlic mayo would have been nicer over plain one and you don't need cilantro.
Shawarma: The veggies (like carrots and cabbage) were dry. I'd prefer just cucumber with garlic-infused mayo for juiciness. Also swap the tortilla for fresh rumali roti/samolina bread. The salt and vinegar chips don’t complement the flavor and could be reconsidered. I literally trashed mine after first chip, fries would have been nicer, Shawarma Chicken Quality: The chicken flavor is great, but it needs to be roasted a bit longer for texture.
Jilebi Storage: Please store it in a cool, closed space for freshness, at 13$ a pound, I did not like how dry they were and left to open.
I understand this is in US and not tolichowki, but I want this place to be best so customers come back again for food over IG for one time. If you ever get an opportunity do try food at Mandar, Tolichowki, just small quality controls can make a huge difference to your food for the best.
For the price point ($33 for 2 PC mandi and $10 for shawarma), quality and freshness are key. I’m rooting for your success and hope to see these improvements so I can become a loyal customer.

We visit this place often but this visit was disappointing. We ordered mutton Mandi and chicken pulao. The chicken was not fresh and we can feel that the meat is not well. When we went and complained about it they were adamant and said that that’s the usual taste and refused to replace it. We threw it away. Such a waste of 16$. The response could’ve been better. The service boy ruined our evening. Dissatisfying.
Tried to place a takeout order for 3 rumali rotis and couple of garlic naans, they wouldn’t take “only” bread order and want me to order an entree for no reason and talk about restaurant policies as if I am getting free breads.

I ordered egg Biriyani on 2021 it makes me not to eat outside again. Recently I ate some onion somosa I like it and taste and spicy is similar to Indian street evening foods . I recommend that . I have no idea on Biriyani that they made but somosa is good. Try it

In general the quality of food has deteriorated. We last visited early 2024 and I remember noticing a difference from our previous experience. We were in the area so we gave it another try. First, the menu is huge but most of it is almost always unavailable. Second, what we ended up having was mostly tasteless and this was in spite of asking for a few changes and making sure they could potentially customize the food. Our final thoughts after leaving the place was that although the service was good, unless the kitchen improved by a lot we probably wouldn’t revisit. It’s unfortunate since we really liked this place since they opened.
