Food is always great - even the grocery store has one of the better prices around. You can get groceries as a quick order to go would highly recommend.

Amazing buffet with 101 varieties. Also each month I think there is a dedicated Indian state counter. Good buffet restaurant to enjoy with family & friends in the DFW area. Costs around $25 before tax per head.

This was my last visit to India 101. The service was not at all like my previous experiences. This time, I felt rushed as if the staff just wanted us out. I completely respect restaurant closing times, but being told to “eat fast” because they were closing is simply not acceptable.

A better solution would be to stop seating new guests at least one hour before closing, so that those who are already inside can enjoy their meal without being hurried. Rushing customers not only ruins the dining experience but also increases food waste. As a restaurant owner myself, I know this is not a good long-term policy—it may benefit the owner’s profit in the short term, but it leaves customers feeling cheated.

I even spoke with the owner before leaving, and he openly defended this policy. Of course, it benefits the owner, because customers still pay full price but don’t get the full experience. From the customer’s perspective, it feels unfair.

For me, the decision is final: a big NO to returning here. If you’re okay with paying full price but being hurried out, that’s your choice. But I prefer restaurants that value customer experience, not just money.

I love the food here — it’s really tasty, and they offer a huge variety of dishes. I visit this restaurant almost every two weeks. Although the buffet price is slightly higher, it’s absolutely worth it for the variety they provide. The buffet also includes tea, mango lassi, and other drinks, which is a great bonus. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Indian or Nepali food.

Great variety of foods to try, from vegetarian and non-vegetarian, as well as different appetizers, desserts and drink options! Some of the dishes were a bit more bland compared to some other places I've been too, like their butter chicken and especially the chicken briyani. However, I think its a great for the sheer variety of options they offer! Would go again.

I always order from India 101 through DoorDash. The order is a delivered to my job which is a very prominent business in the area. This time I chose to go through the drive-thru and order chicken tikka masala with vegetable rice. This is the first time my food looked it like slop and was so watery. Then the lady in the drive-thru said that our masala has something in it. I didn't understand what she said so I asked her again she repeated herself but I still couldn't understand. I said okay, got my food and drove away. This is the first time that my food has been different and the only difference is they actually saw my (Black)face. My chicken masala has never had bones in it. And it has never had a gravy look to it, it's always been a red- like color. My order was the same as I order on DoorDash. This food that I received today was horrible.

They really are 101, basic entry-level and the food showed for it. Respectfully, the worst chicken masala I’ve ever had. Seeing all the grease settled atop the dish sends immediate pain through one’s bowels.

I've been going to India 101 for some years and they have a good variety of food items for the buffet. The food is cooked like home made cooking. Don't worry about spices; only one or two items are very spicy and the rest are very mildly spiced. The staff and servants are very friendly with great hospitality and excellent customer service, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very colorful.

Indian 101 is one of my favorite restaurants, and it has become a weekly spot for my family and me. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and offers a wide variety to choose from. The service is outstanding as well ! Kristina and Aachal consistently go above and beyond to take care of us. Every visit has been an excellent experience, and this place has never once disappointed us. Highly recommended!
