The employees and coffee here are amazing! The employees are well educated and make great suggestions. They also sell local goods which I really enjoy. I picked up this handmade coffee sleeve and a few others for my friends!

A real coffee shop with lovely baked goods made by the owner - a former Four Seasons Pastry Chef. The coffee is rich without the 'French Over-roasted' taste of Starbucks. Co-located with the local library, the clientele is usually quiet athough no one minds if you want to chat with your friends. There's a big outdoor covered patio with ceiling fans with room for 20 people or so, and dogs are welcome there - a visitor's waterbowl is there if your pup doesn't like coffee. Both you and your dog will enjoy the green happy view of the canal and its walking path. Recommended. Oh, and be sure to get a small coffee cake or some eclairs to take home with you

Just got back from Europe and I'm so happy to find a place that knows how to do espresso properly. It is sadly not well known in the states, even at Starbucks. They also have many breakfast sandwich options with crossants and bagels. 👠ðŸ‘
Me and my fiance start every Saturday morning with a walk along the trail to visit Java Me Up and the Library. JMU has a beautiful assortment of pastries, drinks, and a breakfast menu. The customer service is always fantastic. Thanks JMU!

The place is located in Valley Ranch. It is connected with the VR Irving Public Library. The coffee store has a nice terrace with nice views. It is nice to go to a coffee place that is not Starbucks, read a book, or work for a while. In regards to the quality of the drinks, the coffee is not very strong; they should choose a darker roast and less water.

I had the best dirty chai latte ever! I took a piece of their coconut cake to go and..... my word! As my husband says “it was like eating a coconut cloud! So delicious!
