The food is mostly good. We order often and have only had one cold food delivery. UberEats is the only delivery that we can recommend. GrubHub cancels the order 100% of the time. Crispy beef is always good. Hot and Sour Soup is also a guarantee! The chicken dishes are good. I'm picky about chicken! It has to be clean and they do a good job. Even when we call the restaurant and ask for food to be spicy, it doesn't happen. That's the only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5.

Where to begin? First: F**K THIS PLACE. Second, go with delivery if you can't find another place for Chinese food. THE BUILDING: Apparently, Modern Chinese Kitchen cooks the food for The Green Gator also?? I had to call 7 times before getting someone on the phone only to find out that they are inside the Green Gator. I might have learned this quickly; however, I walked in and out of the establishment three times without being helped by anyone. No hostess at the door and no a single wait staff even looked in my direction. SERVICE: I finally addressed the bar tender after being ignored for over 15 minutes only to receive a rude response... he didn't even make eye contact with me when he told me to retrieve my own online order from behind the bar. MASKS: This place doesn't care about the pandemic. The bartender had no mask on and the wait staff wore their masks under their chins. FOOD: Good, but you can get the same, or better, from any other Chinese place that will gladly assist you the moment you walk through the door.

Will never order from this place again! I placed an order online, the system never took it, so I ended up placing the order over the phone. When I went to get it, nobody was there to bring me the order, nobody would pay attention to the customers in the bar. The service is horrible, the customer service is disgraceful. What a waste of my time. Do not recommend.

First time ordering and will definitely be a repeat customer.Ordered the egg drop soup, sesame chicken and Singapore noodles. Large portions and great flavor. Well balanced savory food without the sodium bomb.

About the only nice thing I could say is the quality of the meats was decent. The steamed dumplings were so under cooked as to be nearly raw and so were the szechuan wontons. The spices were very strange and unpleasant. Good Chinese food is hard to find in Texas and this new addition is no improvement.

Was excited about trying a new place that featured healthy fresh ingredients used to make classic szechuan dishes. Pork wontons in szechuan chili sauce - had a nice kick to them, but really underseasoned; needed a punch of soy sauce to boost the flavor. Chicken potstickers - appeared to be deep fried instead of pan fried. Had not seen that preparation before. They were, um, ok. Hot and sour soup - nice classic version. Sesame chicken - the first thing you notice about the main dishes is how attractive they are. Even the next day as leftovers the colors popped and the food looked very appealing. Definitely fresh quality ingredients, you can tell in the crunch of the veggies, the use of chunks of breast. Szechuan beef - just like the chicken, fresh, attractive, appealing. But, other than the wontons, everything was very bland in flavor. I'd look for some way to punch up the flavor before ordering from modern again. I'm being a bit generous with the fourth star because it's a new place and a good concept.

Food was amazing. My new go-to for Chinese in Irving. Food was fresh, not too salty and had excellent flavor. Chicken was white meat and wasn't overly breaded. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken. The sauce was the orange sauce rather than the red gelatin sauce that it used at most Chinese places in the area. Fried rice was really good. It had just the right amount of soy sauce without being too salty or over seasoned. Can't wait to try other dishes!

My Husband ordered sesame chicken, the meat quality is good. Light coating and crispy. Didnt enjoy the Chilli Wonton since i ordered take out and it sit in the box too long. Pork in hot garlic sauce is so far the best i had around. Would definitely order again.
