Pax & Beneficia has always delivered top-notch coffee and atmosphere, but this is hands down the best location in DFW. The setting right on the water is sublime—perfect for grabbing your coffee and taking a walk along the river.
It’s also surrounded by some excellent restaurants and carries an upscale vibe that makes even a simple cup of coffee or tea feel like an event. The coffee is consistently great no matter which location you visit, but this one really stands out.
Even though there’s a location closer to me in Plano, I find myself making the drive here whenever I have extra time. It’s always worth it.

The Yara tasted like prepackaged lemon juice concentrate mixed with a teaspoon of water? It wasn’t really frozen, and borderline undrinkable. Somehow the more you drank it, the thirstier you became. Perhaps good if you’re looking to punish a child?

We ordered the avocado toast which took around 20 mins to arrive at around noon. After all the wait, it turned out to be pretty disappointing. The toast was one slice half toasted and with a pretty mediocre paste of avocado. The toast was pretty tasteless. The passion fruit cold brew was decent but the cold foam was thick and it took a long time for the foam to actually melt. Lot of board games to play and ample space.

This place is so cute and vibrant. There will be a line but the barista are so friendly and knowledgeable. Have a seat, take in the aroma and don't forget to try the almond croissant!

Chocalate chip cookie tasted of freezer. Cold brew was some type of sour i cant explain. The almond orange loaf was pretty good. It was busy and looked promising but didnt hit the mark for us.

They've gone above and beyond for my order after I accidentally put an old address in. Wonderful customer service!

Great atmosphere, and you have a view and chance to walk around Lake Carolyn after, if you’d like!
I’ve placed an online order here and while the coffee is consistently good, the experience could definitely be improved. First, there needs to be clear signage or communication that online drink orders should be picked up on the far side of the counter. It creates unnecessary confusion—and frustration for both customers and staff—when people end up waiting in the main cashier line just to figure out where their drink is.
As for the food, I wouldn’t recommend it. The yogurt parfait I received was grainy, gritty, and clearly packaged days ago. It tasted off and completely separated—not fresh at all.
Overall, this is not the spot if you're looking for a quick, seamless experience or a solid food option. Stick to the drinks if you go.
Rudest lazy workers ! Please level up with service and coffee
I placed an online order while I was in the store due to the line. Toast does not let you know when your order is ready. I asked the barista about my online order, after seven minutes of standing there after it was supposed to be done. She stated that you need to let us know when you get here that you have an online order. I think that should be posted somewhere in the store or maybe on the website so customers know what to do. Coffee was good.
Great signature drinks. I got the Spanish latte iced which tastes very good. Creamy and flavorful . My best friend got zahr latte iced which is his go to. My fiancé got a caramel latte which she liked a lot. Additionally their food is halal which I can’t wait to try next time. Definitely check this place out as these guys support other coffee shops and establishments with their unique beans. Also their playlist had us nodding our heads. Can’t wait to be back at pax in Dallas.
