Never tasted such worst biryani. It's so bland and tasteless. Ordered Hyderabad biryani and Vijayawada Biryani, both are so worst and I couldn't eat it. Never go there. Worst experience ever.

Ordered kothu parata and delivered without cutlery to a hotel room midnight. Not sure what was there expectation as it’s not a rice item to eat without forks.

Yummy!!! Ordered Channa Masala, wings, got some sort of carrot side goodness!! All delicious and fresh! Excellent & patient customer service as well.
I ordered on uber eats.
The chicken smelled and tasted weird, probably old and i asked for spicy but it was bland and no gravy at all.
Please serve fresh.

I ordered Vijayawada veg biryani, it is a rice mixed with frozen samosa curry, when I asked they said it would be gravy, it is dry and got a frozen curry mixed with rice, I felt sad that I paid ~$15 for frozen curry with rice.

I had the biryani combo. The biryani was decent, but the mutton seemed a bit spoiled it would be much better if the mutton was fresh. The chicken curry was also decent. However, the sweet and the raita were not good. If they improve these things, the meal could be extraordinary.

Just had a Tandoori chicken wrap for lunch, and it was one of the most delicious things I've had in a while. Will be coming back to work my way through the menu.

This was my first order. The restaurant is not so big. My order was veg biryani. I thought veg means they will add paneer, beans & other stuffs but I was wrong they add potato’s, cauliflower and some green peas still it was good taste with some spicy. They make me a little waiting for the food

Restaurantji Recommends
I visited this restaurant in July with my baby around 8:50 PM and deeply regret it. I ordered daal and okra curry with specific dietary instructions: no spice, no onions, and no garlic. What followed was an utter disaster.
First, the daal came after almost 1.5 hours in a disgusting aluminum prison-style bowl — completely disrespectful presentation. It was loaded with onions, garlic, and chili powder, completely ignoring my request. When I complained, a corrected version came out suspiciously fast in just 5 minutes. Clearly, they were just making excuses before.
Then, the okra curry took another hour to arrive and again had onions and garlic. After I called it out, they finally brought the correct version. The entire ordeal lasted 3 hours, and the staff — especially the person managing the orders — showed zero guilt or accountability.
As for the food? Absolutely horrible. Tasteless, greasy, and laughably small portions. To top it off, it’s outrageously overpriced for the low quality.
During my stay, I witnessed at least two other customers demand refunds right in front of me. No one looked happy. If this is how the owner runs a business — ignoring customers, serving inedible food, and delivering it with arrogance — then honestly, it’s time to shut it down.
Save your time, money, and stomach. I will never step foot in this place again, and I strongly urge others to stay far away.

Absolutely bullshit, we drove all the way from plano but a great disappointment, we waited for 50 minutes precisely just for 2 dishes chole and pav bhaji and even after waiting too long they didn’t bother to bring warm food. The staff not at all responsive at one point they didn’t even came out of the kitchen even after we call them. Absolutely disgusting won’t recommend to anyone only good thing was the ambience. Portion size is also too small.

I've been to Southern Spice twice in the past. Both times the service and atmosphere was great. The decorations are rustic and they look nice. It was self service but still great.
We ordered only one veg thali and there were a variety of food that came in it. There was one roti, some rice, rasam, dahi (yogurt), achaar, papad, a dessert (usually gulab jamun or carrot halwa) a different subzi or curry (for example baigan ka bhartha), and mix veg curry. The first time I came the food was great, the second time though the food was also great, but there was a piece of plastic in the mix veg for some reason. Be careful when you eat there. The second time I came they served the food in plastic containers, which isn't very healthy or pretty. The food was pretty good and it's a good deal if you go on a Monday and use the Monday 6 dollar veg thali special. I suggest that you order the thali and kulcha/naan especially if you are sharing the thali with someone else like we did because the roti might not be enough.
Overall both times the experience was pretty nice, and I look forward going there in the future!

We visited this place on a Sunday at noon, and there was pretty much no crowd/waiting. The food is decent, and the spice level could have been a bit milder. We had a thali and a few other items. The service was fine.

The food was good for the price but my problem is with the guy in the front who doesn’t understand the customers needs.A simple substitution in order could not be handled by him and was very unprofessional in the way he spoke.
