An average south indian restaurant. The medu wada and dosa were not upto the mark. Salted lassi was poor and so damn thick that it wouldn't come out with a straw. However, the biryani here is good. This is a self service small restaurant so don't expect much service here. Overall an average experience.
We are regular customers of Southern Spice and absolutely love their food. Today (09/30), we went for lunch around 2:15 PM (Monday), and heard about the $3 off on Thalis. We ordered two Veg Thalis and, as always, enjoyed the delicious food.
However, I want to highlight two issues for the owners' attention:
The curries were served in plastic containers this time, unlike last Saturday when the Veg Thali was served in proper steel bowls....

Food: the jackfruit vindaloo burger was a welcome change to standard Indian menus in the area. It was a good balance of sweet and spicy. I really enjoyed the chunks of grilled pineapple and the quantity of jackfruit in the burger. However, I prefer more savory items so I personally likely wouldn’t order it again.
The paneer tikka wrap was very tasty....
