I wanted to surprise my daughter, who’s a paraprofessional at the school for her birthday. Placed my order around 10:20, was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. Drove 20 minutes to pick up order only to be told that they don’t start making lunch orders until 11:00. I arrived at 10:45, was told that I could wait and at 11:00 they would start making my order! breakfast burritos were awesome! They are filled with eggs, potatoes, and other stuff. Now I will be trying the lunch menu next.

Mammas Place is a small, homey restaurant that serves amazing homemade Mexican food, including homemade tortillas and sauces. The flavors are authentic. The place is small but has very good tacos. The breakfast burritos are huge and incredibly tasty, with choices like chorizo, egg, potatoes with their green sauce. The shrimp tacos are a favorite, made on homemade corn tortillas with shrimp, cilantro, onions, and fresh slices of avocados. The refried beans and rice are perfect, and the beans have a homey taste. The food is all prepared from scratch by Momma, so it can take time. The service is friendly, though sometimes a little overwhelmed or mediocre. Parking is difficult but free right in front. Customers leave very full and very happy. The best burritos in Texas, with in-house tortillas. A great find for a needed stop if passing through the area. Food was amazing and tasty, with great hospitality. Highly recommend a stop.
