I’ve given this location multiple chances, but it’s been a disappointment every single time.
One visit really stood out — we walked in and there wasn’t a single employee in sight. After about 10 minutes, someone finally appeared and said, “Why didn’t you yell for me?” I’m sorry, but I shouldn’t have to yell just to get service. If you’re working alone, at least have a bell or sign letting customers know what to do.
We gave it another try today, and once again, the experience was awful. The woman working was rude and clearly didn’t care to be there. As for the donuts — they were disgusting. Cold, old, and stale, with a greasy film that lingered in my mouth. No flavor, no freshness, nothing redeeming.
I absolutely do not recommend this location and will not be returning.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Shipley Donuts is my go-to spot on Jones Rd! The girls working there are incredibly nice — seriously, some of the kindest and most welcoming people you’ll meet. They always greet me with a smile and make me feel like family. The service is quick, the cashier is always helpful, and the vibe is just great all around. I truly enjoy stopping by, not just for the donuts (which are amazing!), but for the great people who work there. Highly recommend!

We came on a Sunday at 6:45 PM the front doors were closed with the open sign on they also have a sign saying they closed at 8:PM.

Stopped by Shipley’s Jones Rd for the 2nd time this morning and all I have to say is that everything was so delicious. I see why they put “make life delicious” on their boxes. Placed an order online for the Office Hero packs and those did so well with my clients at work. Everyone’s favorite is the sausage and cheese with jalepeno, but mine is the spicy BOLD (bigger sausage) with cheese. Very friendly and efficient staff.
I travel all over Houston working and I am a huge donut and kolache fan. The Shipley’s on Jones Rd., is the best donut shop I have ever been to. The jalapeño sausage and cheese kolaches are amazing, the bread is the softest and best kolache I have experienced., and the spicy bold bigger sausage is incredible as well. The donuts are also hot and fresh daily and absolutely delicious. This shop is clean and the service is wonderful. Very kind and friendly people every time I go. I buy several dozens for my guys that work for me in my construction business and they all rave about the donuts as well. The Office Hero packs are always a winner for my clients. This is seriously the place to go!!
I love stopping by this location on my way to work every morning. Their coffee is always fresh. And their sausage and cheese with jalapeño is so good. I didn’t know they started serving boudin kolaches so I think that’s my new favorite. The young ladies that work there always has a positive attitude. I forgot her name but keep it up! 🤩
Came to this location for the last two days and received the worst attitude and food ever. Donuts were old and cold. When asked for fresh ones, the lady acted as if I'd asked her something she couldn't do. Will never go back
