We stopped in Junction at Isaack on our way to Alpine. We got there just in time for breakfast. The coffee was great. I has scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, hashbrowns and a biscuit. Everything was great but the homemade biscuit was delish.
We stopped here for lunch during the week and ordered the daily special - chicken strips, gravy, fried okra, dinner roll and mashed potatoes. It came with a trip to the salad bar and dessert! It was delicious and such a bargain. The waitress was great.
A favorite breakfast stop for us leaving San Antonio. Omlets and 2 egg breakfasts are reliable favorites. Your coffee cup stays reliably replenished. Rustic decor with 50s TV westerns playing on the monitor. I think there is a salad bar at lunch served from a claw foot bathtub which looked fun. Homey spot.
