We just left the store after buying several items, including a bar of chocolate. When we opened it, it was full of maggots. On top of that, many of the products we purchased were expired, and most of the items on the shelves were covered in dust. This clearly shows poor hygiene and a lack of proper quality control. Selling expired and contaminated food is a serious health risk, and the dusty shelves make the store look completely neglected. I strongly advise customers to check everything carefully before buying, and I hope management takes immediate action to clean the store and ensure food safety.

You can really taste the difference—the chicken isn’t pumped full of chemicals like what you find at big grocery chains, and everything is always fresh. We’ve never had a single issue here. I was honestly surprised to see some of the negative reviews, because the staff has always been friendly and respectful whenever we come in. The prices are more than worth it to me for clean, quality food without all the junk. This place has been consistent, clean, and reliable for us from day one.

This establishment has gone downhill. They didn't accept the meat return due to faded color all around the product which makes you feel unsafe to be eating it. Their excuse was that the sell by date hasn’t expired :/ So they lost a regular customer and hundreds of dollars a year in profit trying to keep a few for a day. Sorry to see it being managed so poorly, it was a convenience in Katy. Obviously thats all it is.

The quality and the service is really deteriorating. Being a customer for five years now I’m really disappointed with how this place have gone from being one of my fav places for Mediterranean groceries to become one of the stores to avoid or only shop There when it’s absolutely necessary . It was much better when Ammar the previous owner was there . Not to mention on more than one occasion the cashier attitude is unprofessional and extremely annoying .
And after today’s visit I think that was the last time I will ever shop there .
The cashier literally bypassed me and checked out the customer after me in the queue without even asking me first , and when I asked him why did you do that ?? he said because the other customer got less items
Everything is expensive and different from the rest of the Arab markets

We have gotten groceries and meat from here for several years. We shopped here due to location convenience for us. Over the years service has improved. However after the past few experiences of bad food quality we will not be returning. We have gotten several items out of the freezer section that were moldy upon opening or expired, such as naan and frozen sausage. And this is one of the many times I have gotten chicken or meat that has gone bad upon opening and I freeze the meat as soon as I bring it home so I know I'm storing it properly. We have brought this up to the owner many times. Honestly the store should be inspected thoroughly by a health inspector. Either way, we will not be returning and will drive the extra miles to a better shop.

I’ve been visiting Alsafa for years— in fact, I like to joke that each of my kids were practically grown on their kebab and falafel, since I bought dinner there so often, haha. I have never been treated disrespectfully by anyone here, they have always been very kind and helpful. The food is AWESOME. I highly recommend Alsafa, this little establishment is truly a gem.
