This place was amazing! Truly a gem of Katy! Our server Travis was very knowledgeable about the menu, offered a lot of good suggestions, and just overall made our experience really good. The chef came out as well and was super nice and hospitable. The food was amazing, the pork chop was seasoned to perfection, the kangaroo to my surprise was probably my favorite. And these mystery mimosas that they have amazing.  I will for sure. Be going back to visit.

My husband and I ate at rhis restaurant do the first time while driving through the area. We were not familiar with South African food and wine, but thoroughly enjoyed. Noth. The staff and chef/owner were exceptionally warm and welcoming. I ordered the Portuguese Octopus. It was fabulous and a large portion. My husband ordered a combination of meats that included lamb.. I sampled his and loved the smoky flavor. They have over 1000 bottles of wine to choose from. Chef Casey helped us select two wonderful South African glasses that paired beautifully with our meals. Anna was our waitress. She was also efficient and helpful. We will be back. I highly recommend!!

Astor's table came across my tiktok while searching Katy food finds and they did not disappoint! The shrimp and grits were amazing!! The atmosphere is so elegant and peaceful, such a great experience. I definitely will be going back soon. The staff were also very kind and in good spirits 10/10.

Astor’s food flavor is delicious. Owner - chef gives personal attention to help assured your experience is as excellent as the food is. Our table of six had the SOUTH AFRICAN ESPETADAS, Grandma’s Lovinggood Oxtails and Cape Malay Lamb Kerrie. Everyone raved about how good these tasted. Portions are ample. Liked the feel of Astor’s dining room. Good cocktail bar and wine selection on hand. Service was very friendly and efficient. Our party included a one year old who the staff welcomed and made sure we felt at home with in their dining room This was our second visit. Looking forward to our next meal there.

Yesterday me and my wife visited this restaurant. It was my first time but for my wife it was her 4th time. The menu has many great options. I tried the oxtail pizza and it was amazing. It also has carrots ajd potatoes on it. 10 out of 10. The chief/owner spoke with us to make sure everything is right. I appreciate the attention to detail and hospitality.

This restaurant was amazing and so very accomodating. I reserved a table for a birthday dinner for my partner. We had a wonderful time. The food was amazing. We were all new to the restaurant and the waiter explained every dish and the distinction about the food. The food did not at all disappoint. There was something for everyone present. They happy birthday to the man of the hour. They provided plates and everything for the cake and even presented party favors for the birthday boy. This restaurant is perfect for couples, singles, and family fun. 10/10 recommend for everyone.
I thoroughly enjoyed this establishment. The brunch mimosa deal is definitely one for the book! You buy one mimosa get four for a penny a piece. You can't find that deal anywhere. Me and my girls ordered okra stew and the peri peri wings ( that came with French toast and potatoes). The okra stew was 10/10. Also the wings and potatoes were really good 8/10 but the French toast ends were a big hard and it was dry. Our waitress was the sweetest and the chef and staff were very nice and answered any questions we had. I'll definitely recommend this establishment and will be going back soon.

It was a great treat to visit Astor's. The food was unique, tasty and plentiful. the chef came out after our brunch to get our feed back. he suggested we try a wine in which case we bought a bottle. With drinks, brunch and tip, our bill was about $75.00 per person. A friend recommended this place and we drove miles to see if it was a good as he said. well worth the trip.

We asked if we could try each course prior to selecting the next course because the cuisine was new to us. They said absolutely. They helped us pick wines to match our dinner. It's a smaller venue and it was packed and still the staff took care of every need promptly.
