One of the best Asian food I have had, they have amazing stir pots which are great portions. Also the spicy levels could be altered to our preference. I have been taking food home during the lockdown times, waiting to dine-in again in the near future.

First time and everything was outstanding. Food was piping hot when served and was not overwhelming in spices when ordering medium spice. It was the perfect balance between spice and flavor from the dish. The Dragon Phoenix shrimp and chicken melted as each bite was taken. The fried rice was in balance as I mixed. Desert was an added compliment as the Mango cake was phenomenal.Good price for the quality of the food which was served.

We had grilled fish (golden sour spicy flavor), the flavor comes from Chinese pickled pepper, super tasty! They have authentic Sichuan food, the food brought me back China. You can alter the spicy level based on your preferences. Plus excellent service, Batao is my new favorite now!!

I can't believe I have never seen this place before! This is for sure my new go-to place. This is better than a lot of places at Bellaire. Food was well worth the price for me. None of those dishes has disappointed me!

This place was perfect. I don't ever leave reviews but me and my wife where looking for somewhere to eat some Chinese food and my sister had suggested this.I can say i have found a new place to eat Chinese even tho i live in spring branch i will make the drive here.This food was perfect ! I can't stress it lol You must order the Chilli oil wantonWe ate it and didn't get to take a picture of it but it was perfect. The staff is really nice and respectful.

I can't believe I have never seen this place before! This is for sure my new go-to place. Review for-red chili oil dumpings = the sauce was bomb, not too spicy and so was the dumpling itself! This is one of my favorite appetizer.-golden tofu = it's salted egg tofu, it goes so great with rice. As my first time trying this dish, it was not bad. -house combination stir-fried pot = The pot has lots of flavors, and also meat, fish and veggies. This is well worth the buck. If you like eating lots of rice, this dish it's perfect pair. - dry stir-fried intestines with pepper - not a lot of places have this dish, and I have to say it's the best I've eaten in Houston. The intestines are fried at the perfect level. It was so well flavored that I didn't need any sauces for it. During this pandemic they have also distanced tables which I appreciate. Owner also recommended me those dishes that none of them disappointed me as I'm a very picky eater! If it does not taste like or texture like it's supposed to, I would not want it! Overall : This is better than a lot of Bellaire restaurants so far! Owner (charles) was very friendly and gives great customer service.

If you haven't tried Batao Bistro in Katy --- I10 at Westgreen, you are missing something great! We have lived in Katy for the past five years, and haven't found a Chinese Restaurant that we've liked until Batao! Everything was so fresh and delicious. The restaurant opened right before the covid shutdown, but are now opened for dine-in. The restaurant is very clean, has great service, friendly staff, and all covid safety guidelines were followed while we were there. Please visit Batao and help them stay in business. You will be glad you did! We will definitely be going back. They deliver too!

Batao is my family’s favorite Chinese restaurant! It’s not your typical Chinese place. They have a lot of different dishes to try and we usually order a few things for all of us to share. We must have been there 4 times in the month that they first opened. The food is delicious, service is great, and the prices are reasonable.
Food was delicious! My first time ordering and I loved it! Taste was fresh and when delivered it was hot! Definitely going to be my to go Chinese cuisine spot! Manager is very nice and professional! Please check this place out definitely worth it! I had the Dan Dan noodles and Sichuan Style Beef! So worth it!

This place is a really good Chinese option in Katy. Best Dan Dan noodles in Katy (and probably Houston)!!!! The sauce is perfect and numbing and delicious and I just love it. I never crave noodles but this is the one noodle dish that does it for me. We also ordered the chili oil wontons - similar sauce as the noodles - and the wontons are delicious! Had the fried dumplings and crab rangoons as well. All good. As for entrees, I ordered the fried intestines, orange peel chicken, and stir fried snow pea leaves. Orange peel chicken was a tad too sweet but good nevertheless. Everything is great here!Service is awesome, never had to ask for water refills or wanted for anything. Manager checks on you too. I'll 100% be back again!

Some of the best Chinese food I've had in quite some time. Exceptional service! Sad this place opened so close to the onset of the pandemic. We need to support them and ensue they survive! Fresh tasting everything!

Had a craving for walnut shrimp so I tried this new place and damn I wasnt dissapointed! Everything was good and well seasoned and came out super hot and the staff and the manager were very attentive!! It be nice if there was more walnuts on the shrimp but it was still good!! I'll be back for sure!!

Charles made our visit so welcoming and personalized, the portions and prices were right, plus Emma was very attentive and thoughtful as our server - couldn't ask for anything more. Definitely made our "Go-to list" for fantastic Chinese food.
