Quality and quantity has gone down and prices have gone way up. There r other really good options around.
This is a popular spot. Great food. Service is always amazing, no matter how busy it is.

So this place is pretty decent. Definetly would rather this over first watch or another broken egg. Pricing is reasonable too. LOVE the atmosphere, very cozy. Love the wood, it is super clean. My ONLY gripe is that my egg Bennie’s were a bit overdone, like beyond an over medium level. Other than that this place is pretty dope.

Had my birthday dinner there with the wife and kids. A party of 10. I called ahead to see if they had room for us. They had our tables ready when I got there.

Every time we dine in, we have a fantastic experience. I would like to highlight the exceptional service provided by Arturo. From the moment we walk in, his attentiveness and warmth makes us feel sincerely, welcomed and valued for choosing to come in.

Tried it for breakfast for the fist time - it was amazing. We always enjoy their food when ordering doordash for dinners, but going in person and trying their breakfast was really an awesome expirience. The atmosphere is cozy and personal is really attentive. We made plans to do it regularly now with brining kids too.

Everything about my visit to Black Walnut Café in Cinco Ranch felt just right. Tucked away along Cinco Ranch Boulevard, this café strikes the perfect balance between cozy neighborhood charm and contemporary dining. The dining room is spacious and inviting, and I loved having the option to sit outside on the patio for a light breeze and a bright atmosphere.
The menu is so thoughtfully curated—from comforting omelets filled with veggies to indulgent avocado-bacon Benedict and even inventive breakfast burgers. I opted for a veggie-packed omelet, and it was perfectly cooked and fresh. Their Texas-pecan coffee paired beautifully with freshly squeezed orange juice—two small delights that made the meal feel special.
The ordering system is easy: order at the counter, grab a buzzer, and the friendly staff deliver your food right to your table. I appreciated how attentive they were, refilling drinks and keeping things tidy without being intrusive. It was evident they care.
The only minor hiccup was that I had to refill my coffee cup myself—which was a small interruption to an otherwise smooth experience. A few items were a bit lukewarm, but the flavors and portion sizes more than made up for it. Overall, Black Walnut Café is a standout spot for brunch, weekday breakfast, or a leisurely coffee break. I’ll definitely be back—and sooner rather than later!”

Always great food, service is good, but I prefer the seat yourself times.
I frequent this location often. Today, I ordered the chicken tortilla soup. Huge mistake. The soup was tasteless, had a minuscule piece of chicken and a strand of hair….absolutely disgusting.

Our server Corbin was great! So helpful and friendly. We enjoyed their Houston Restaurant Weeks menu. We had the lobster tacos which were yummy. And I also had the hummus plate which was the 1st of my 2 courses and it was very fresh and tasty. Cinco Ranch location is about to do a major renovation. Can’t wait to see it in September!
