Good food. I like that it is paleo friendly. Not really a big menu and wine list was lacking. I look forward to going back. Clean and great service.

Just ate at a little gem, Cafe Z on Kingsland tucked behind Firehouse Subs. Grand opening expected in a month or so. Assistant manager Edwin was warm and friendly, the chicken and ground beef kabobs were delicious and the grilled vegetables were pure and unadulterated. The humus starter was great and we even received a complementary glass of wine tonight for Labor Day weekend. They have a beautiful garden and a full bar with delicious appetizers so I can hardly wait for the weather to allow pleasant outdoor dining. There is a banquet area above the main restaurant. Give them a try!

If you're a foodie; give this little gem a try. They know what they're doing when preparing beef.

New day, new opportunity to support new businesses as great as this one - dropped in today for a quickie lunch & thoroughly enjoyed it - had a salmon Caesar - the dressing was amazing, the salmon was verrrry tasty & it was just the right amount of everything - my server was helpful, even brought a sample of the Persian yogurt dip for me to try (after salivating over it!) - it was also amazing - end of story, all recommendable!!!

Still has some kinks to work out. Hummus was very good, pita was on the thin side but good. Wait staff seemed awkward and brought my husband and I beers but one was some missing beer (both from bottles but one was 2" short. Not sure what that was about.) We all ordered kebabs. Husband ordered the ribeye kebab and it looked like boiled meat with NO char on it at all. Chicken kebabs had a slight char but not much. None of it really had any flavor. All pretty bland. The grilled vegetables were all still uncooked. Our onion chunks were raw minus a slight char on one side. Not sure who was cooking, but they need to turn up the flames. Disappointing and won't be back.

Excellent--highly recommended! My wife and I came here with our dog as we were passing through Katy. They have a patio, a beautiful deck, and a nice fountain. It's located in a quiet place so you don't have to worry about hearing cars. Instantly upon arriving, the attentive staff offered our dog a water bowl. Smooth sailing after that. I loved my burger, the cock tails were great, and my wife loved the pasta. The staff was friendly, attentive, and we only wished we lived here so we could come every week!

Katy just gained a new gem. Usually, I'm a little wary of restaurants with several different cuisines, but this restaurant really takes everything and makes it delicious. Going out with a group and can't decide? Just go to Cafe Z because they have the traditional Persian food, Mediterranean sandwiches and customizable burgers, salads, and pastas. Also, they serve Persian iced tea and it's perfect. It is a little difficult to find but once inside, it's clean, airy, and bright. There is also a patio area with ample spaces between the tables and a good street view. I'm sure the balcony would be nice at night or not during any of the super hot summer days. There is a bar as well. Service was great.

Not only is this place one of the cutest patios in Katy right now but the food was pretty tasty and the prices are surprisingly SO reasonable! They are still in a soft opening which means they're still trying to figure certain things out, so definitely have some grace. But the staff was super sweet and helpful and willing to do anything to win you over. The menu is a nice layout and easy to go through and find what you want. Like I said prices are crazy good for what you're getting. I came here with my family we each ordered something different and enjoyed our food. This is Mediterranean and Persian cuisine so if you order those items I believe they were pretty tasty and accurate. However the chicken Alfredo pasta I ordered although it was picture perfect it didn't taste as great as it looked. Mainly because it was very very bland in my opinion. I even tried adding salt but it didn't make a difference. I'm really hoping we can chalk it up to the fact that they're still trying to get the hang of things but if that's not the case and that's just the way they make their pasta, then be warned if you like your food to be flavorful. We also ordered the hummus and it was pretty great. The complimentary pita bread and oil seasoning was a nice touch. Although I couldn't figure out if it was suppose to be pita chips or pita bread as some pieces were very thin, hard and chip like and others were soft like bread so I'm not sure. The ones that were like bread were pretty great. Overall this place was awesome. Really like their vision for the patio, it's a very sweet spot you'll want to take you girlfriends or family too. The inside is very small and not as cute as the outside except for their one green wall. So if you're into eating somewhere with a nice and cute atmosphere you might want to save this restaurant for a nice day out to be able to enjoy their patio. Wishing this place lots of success but secretly hoping not too many people find out about it so we can still enjoy it hehe

Went here for lunch today with my daughter. The place is located right behind Firehouse subs. Look for the yellow umbrellas. My maps program took me to a restaurant a few doors down which isn't correct. The place has been open for about a month and it is quite lovely. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and they have a nice patio garden area with vibrant yellow umbrellas to dine at during the cooler months. For lunch we ordered the beef koobideh and hummus. The koobideh was juicy and flavorful. The hummus was also very nice. Their menu has a nice variety of food so there should be something for everyone. They also have a kids menu too. We will definitely be back to try some of the other dishes on the menu. Water snob rating: 5/5 no need for bottled water Beef koobideh: 5/5 Hummus: 4/5 slightly grainy due to the chickpea skin being left in

Tried this place for the first time because I saw they offer gluten free options (love that the menu is labeled clearly and our server was able to answer our questions about gf options). They brought out complimentary oil and pita bread. Very nice gesture but would love the oil to have some spices/flavor. For lunch we ordered the burger and gluten free pesto pasta. The burger was amazing! Freshly made and cooked to order. The seedy bun was delicious! I added a fried egg and next time I would request doneness as the egg was overdone for me. Glad we upgraded to the sweet potato fries - very good as well. The pasta came with 5 huge shrimp but was drenched in sauce and we thought it would have more pesto flavor but it was very cream-based and a little too much for our tastes. For lunch, it ended up being a little pricey for us as the add-ons really add up but you get what you pay for - super fresh food!

Came with my sister for lunch today and sat on the patio. First of the patio is absolutely fabulous with beautiful flowers and landscaping!! The whole vibe is very aesthetically pleasing and inviting. Our server, Valeria was extremely helpful with navigating us through the menu and a sweetheart in general. The food is fantastic. There was a male server whose name we didn't catch and he was just as lovely. Unfortunately they were out of hummus for the day so we ordered the Persian dip. So yummy omg. We had the pesto pasta and kabob wrap for lunch and shared everything. It was so delicious. Oh they also have a full bar. Didn't drink at lunch today, but full bar is always a plus. Everything was amazing. They are a little difficult to get to so I hope they will be around for a while. They are still in their soft opening.
