The food is top notch... EVERY TIME!! But further, the care that you receive from the staff and even the owners themselves is unheard of! I get a handshake from one of the owners every time I eat here. They care about your experience and it really shows!!

Kid-friendliness: A personal pet peeve is dirty child seats & high chairs... Castillo's cares as much about my kids' experience as my own!!

I went with my 7 years old daughter. It was our first time there. Our expectations were high because of the good reviews but it didn’t happen. They have a small selection of menu for kids and that’s a big mistake in a family oriented restaurant. We paid close to $40. My daughter had pancakes and I asked for chilaquiles verdes and I can fix them better myself at home just a bunch of tortilla chips some queso fresco and green sauce. I had water and my daughter a soft drink. Asked for a spicy hot sauce and they don’t know how to fix one. They just don’t have spicy sauce. They call themselves Mexican but flavor still far from Mexican and it’s over priced food and drinks. Tacos are 5 dlls. Walking service restaurant. Yes there are people for everything and that’s the reason they have customers. We will keep looking for a real Mexican restaurant, with excellent service that wants to exceed our expectations. I have experience in this field and this is not what customers deserve.

This place never disappoints. Food is always delicious and tacos are at a massive size that can feed the hunger of anyone.
Oh and ordered the tamales today to go but had to eat one right away… I thought I melted in my seat, it was sssooooooo good.

The food at Castillos never disappoints. $4.99 margarita's on Friday and the service is always on point. I had the Huevos rancheros with no ranchero sauce and my wife had spicy chicken Tortilla soup and a beef fajita taco.

If you haven’t stopped to try this place you’re missing out!!! I’m so disappointed we’ve passed this place so often without stopping. The atmosphere was great the food was amazing and the service was fantastic!!! Jose was always making sure we were well taken care of! It seemed like everyone working there genuinely enjoyed working there. I’m soooo glad a real authentic Mexican restaurant has found its way to Katy. My super picky 8 year old said he wants to eat here everyday. He said I should give 10 stars on my review.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE this place!!!!! My family and I had the pleasure to dine in at this restaurant. I am SO GLAD WE DID. I like to support small and locol businesses,and that's what this restaurant is. They have Mexican and Tex-Mex. The owners were VERY NICE and soo accommodating. She was very patient with my son, he wasn't too sure what he wanted, so she saw this, steeped in and helped him order what he wanted. I had the Chilaquiles, Verdes style, and they were sooo good,especially if you dont like too spicy; now they're red Chilaquiles are spicy, she said. They topped it with avocado queso and crema. It was delicious! I will be ordering it again. My husband got the migas plate, which was good as well, good portions! My daughter had a chicken quesadilla, which was stuffed full of cheese and chicken, andmy son had an egg and sausage plate. He loves breakfast foods. They had 4.99 margaritas, they were a good size, and they were really good. I had Mango, husband had the watermelon.... at the end when we were done eating, the owner, this time it was the husband, came over and gave the kids crayons and a coloring page; then came out with two little cups of chocolate ice cream and asked if they could have it. I thought that was a very nice gesture to do for the kids.. We will most DEFINITELY be back, you can count on that!!!

I’m only giving 2 stars because although the menudo is delicious. The size you get when ordering to go is not the same size as when you eat inside the store. I’ve taken some home when I ate there. Then when I ordered to go it was the same amount as after I had eaten there in the same container. So I feel I’m getting less for my money.

Overall a nice surprise. The staff was friendly. Kind of like a dine-in fast food place. You go to the counter, order your food, get a number and they bring it to you. The staff was friendly and helped us move tables for a group.

The food was overall good. Beans could have used a tad more seasoning. Great deal of options though.

The atmosphere was nice, not overdone and they had a few TV's to watch the game.

Everything was amazing. Loved how the owner greets and thanks every customer. That is old school respect and appreciation. You don't see that anymore. You must try the Carne Guisada Plate very delicious and the meat was so tender. Drinks are very good too and they use fresh ingredients. I had them make me a Ranch water and it was made perfectly You have to try this place!
