Castillo's Mexican Restaurant

I moved out of state a few years ago, and I knew that a stop at either Tejas Taco House (same owners) or Castillo’s was a must when I flew in for a visit. I was in Heaven! The ambiance is wonderful, the customer service is excellent, and the food? YUMMY!! We had the carne guisada, migas, and street tacos, and every single bite was fantastic!!

Castillo’s catered breakfast for my husband’s work function. He had some really important people from out of state fly in. Castillo’s did an amazing job. Everything was so delicious! It was so good that everyone is calling him asking if there are Castillo’s other places in the country and they can’t wait to come back and eat there.

Very delicious food!! My children who are picky eaters loved the cheese enchiladas!! We will be coming back!!

I got the steak nacho(under fajita nachos when you order online), it’s really good. The steak is not chewy, it’s just exactly what you want when you are in the mood for steak nachos.

The food was really good! Enchiladas had a nice sauce, the queso was great, but the Horchata was a real stand out. There was a minor service mistake, but they were incredibly nice about it and handled things.

I love enchiladas but this were terrible. Cheese had a bad taste the ground beef was not any better.

Ordered the Migas to go and they were ready on time and they were good. I have had better, but they were good. They should be served with tortillas like other places I have got Migas. They were not expensive, but should be included. The real issue was the order was incomplete. Ordered bacon strips and received no bacon. The place was not busy, so that excuse can’t be used. It’s not the money thing by any means, but if I order something it should be included without me checking everyone’s “work” before I leave. Failure to include something small like this, makes me question things in the future from this establishment. This was my first visit here, and might be my last. And yes, over an incomplete order.

We ended at Castillo's because of Great Day Houston! OMG this is authentic and so delicious! We'll be back with the entire family (57 of us)! Thank you for an amazing experience 💜!

Best Mexican food in Katy for sure. Service is amazing. Super friendly and genuine service. We usually come for Breakfast, which is the best! We decided to do dinner this time. It did not disappoint! Prices are great. Wife, kids and I have found a new local favorite to go to. Support this small business!

Went here for the 1st time but will not be returning. The food is overpriced and I don't like that one has to pay first and immediately the tip screen is displayed. I normally tip when I dine out and I base the tip on overall food/service but unfortunately this was not an option here. The portions are small and they got my order wrong but I'm not too picky so i ate it.

The owner Gina was extremely friendly and welcoming! We had carne guisada and enchilada plates and both were delicious and the tortillas were excellent. When in the area we will definitely be back!

Drove by this restaurant last week and thought I'd give it a try tonight and I'm sure glad I did! We ordered the carne guisada and beef enchiladas. The carne guisada was so good & very tender. The beef enchiladas were also delicious and very cheesy! My favorite was the fresh tortillas! I will come back a thousand times for those tortillas. I didn't expect to love them so much or I would've ordered extras 😆 Will definitely be back!
