As a Houston native we’ve loved Dimassi’s ever since I was young. It’s my husband’s fav spot anytime we are in a city with one. Clearly marked vegan buffet options. The rose water is delicious. The staff is very kind. Only comment is prices keep coming up. In my adult life I remember paying $11 for Dimassi’s buffet and things have changed a lot since then even just for lunch. It is great quality food though and worth the price. If you only want to pay for a few sides to go , Fadi’s would be the more economic option.
I don’t think it Should be $23 per person. The food is not that good to me, it was cold. very healthy though so I like that. the service is good. And the place is pretty clean from what I seen. I stayed outside it was pretty🌸

I love this place, but the last time I went I don’t know if they have a new cook, but the food was horrible. Rice was like soup, too much parsley on everything, no flavor on lamb, kifta was burnt, bread was cold, just very disappointing. Hopefully things will be like before.

Yo, I’m from Europe, I know all these dishes, and they’re usually fire, but here? Y’all didn’t really put in the effort to make them right. Yeah, I get it, this ain’t no fancy spot.
First off, ditch the corn—it’s gone bad. Had to pick hair out of my beef, come on, get the chefs some hats or just have ‘em go bald. Dolma’s supposed to be warm, not straight outta the fridge. That lamb leg? Looks great for a photo, but y’all went crazy with the spices. Did y’all boil it for three days? LOL, it’s way overcooked.
The meatballs? Y’all said they’re spicy—bruh, I nearly combusted. At least throw in a non-spicy one next to it. You could definitely expand the menu a bit. This ain’t a customer review, it’s for the owner—if you’re gonna serve this type of food, do it right. And yeah, I know Americans will eat anything ‘cause they just love to stuff their faces, but come on, have some passion for your craft.
Charge $26? A bit much. The buffet next door is $20 max, and y’all got potential to hit $30-40, but you gotta serve good meat and fresh greens. I probably caught y’all on a bad day, and maybe it’s usually great, but I’ve been in the restaurant game for over 10 years—I’ve seen it all.
Good luck with the business, hope y’all level up!

Sadly the food was not worth the price we paid. The only thing I enjoyed was the mint they offered at the front register. The food was terrible. The rice pudding was gray. The garlic they used for the baked cauliflower was green. The tabula was not fresh. The dessert looked tragic. The rose water tasted like sugar ,food coloring , and perfume. The dimassi’s on Westheimer is way better.

I am really upset about the service and how the client was treated. This used to be my favorite location. I brought my parents and family expecting to enjoy lunchtime. We were not informed that the toilet was out of order and there was no water to wash our hands. Additionally, there was no hot water available for tea, which we love and used to enjoy here.
We had to leave urgently because my kids needed to use the restroom, and we couldn’t complete our meal and enjoy a lunch. Despite this, we were charged in full for the service provided. The front desk was a bit rude when I mentioned my disappointment.
Bottom line, we won’t be coming back to this buffet and don’t recommend it. Another point to mention is how they are working in these conditions and providing clean service. How are the service people washing their hands and disposing of waste if the plumbing is out of order? Is this even allowed by sanitary authorities?

I tried their Falafal bowl… the place is nice n clean. Food was fresh and good to taste. The owner accidentally had packed chicken instead of falafal but she was good enough to remember and pack me the falafel.
They also had lunch buffet from mon to fri and everything looked clean, fresh.
Buffet with many good vegan options! I love that all of their food is clearly labeled so it’s easy to know what’s vegan. Even their baklava is vegan (and it’s soooo good).
Very good restaurant. One of my favorite restaurants.
