Doneraki Fuego y Mar Mexican Grill

Excellent place for a great margarita with friends, a fun and stress free spot for any size party or group lunch/dinner. Everyone from owners, servers, cook staff and the bartenders are phenomenal! Food is always fresh and delicious! So glad Doneraki is in Katy!!!!

We went there for dinner before getting on the road for a long drive. It took a little bit of time but that was fine with us. We got the carbon al pastor tacos, the nachos and the kids quesadillas. From what our waitress told us, they were very careful with making the quesadillas to accommodate for our gluten allergy, so thanks a lot for that!
For the price, the amount of food you get across the board is VERY small: for example kids quesadilla is one small tortilla folded in half, with side of rice and beans.
The pastor al carbon tacos is 2 bigger tacos, but the meat was dry and tough. Maybe I got the burnt ends from the doner? On the other end the beef from the nachos was closer to rare.
So overall, pricey for the size of the portions and food just ok.

Loved the bar. The inside of the restaurant/bar is beautiful. Micheladas were good/big. Food was great. They play all the games you don’t even have to ask for what you probably want to watch. 10/10

Came here with family and while the service was amazing, I wasn't impressed with the overall taste of the food. I did order a mango margarita and it was delicious. They have a large grass area with a few outdoor activities that my kids most definitely took advantage of so for me that was a plus. I'll be back to try something new.

So I’ve been here 3 times with my family, and each experience was a little bit different. This visit we had Domonique as our server and she was pretty amazing. Service was top tier, thank you! When we come back we will ask for her. Oh and the margaritas are pretty good and strong!

Went on a Wednesday evening for a birthday celebration. Place wasn’t too busy at first, but once a couple of tables filled up, service was very slow and not attentive. For something as simple as water refills, we had to ask several times. Had to clear out our own table of dishes and empty cups to make room to cut a birthday cake. Asked three different people for spoons, and apparently they didn’t have any because they never came. Drinks were slow. Food all came out at very different times. Owner just kept telling us to have some tequila, as if that was going to make up for it all. Will not be returning.

Breakfast just as good as the one I used to go to on Westhimer. Xavier was our waiter and was super nice. Everyone was. When my wife smiles I know we coming back.

Our waiter, Carlos, was very attentive and friendly. The food was great as usual and the charro beans were some of the best we have had. Our daughter always gets the beef fajitadillas and they never disappoint. Highly recommend this place, great food, not loud music, and friendly staff.

I just had my 65th birthday party on Saturday! The setup was great, the food was delicious and the staff was amazing and so accommodating! I think the staff had fun with our group too! The manager checked on us numerous times as well. I highly recommend this location for your next celebration!

We used to go to 2 other Doneraki spots many years ago. This one opened nearby in Katy, and I am ecstatic! It was everything I hoped it would be. Big, spacious & beautifully decorated family restaurant. Great for dates as well! Right on the feeder of i10 but safely faces away with a large outdoor mingling or play area with great photo ops. We were greeted and immediately seated in a comfortable "fluffy friendly" booth. I ordered a mangonada referred to a mangoraki, and it was reeeeally good with a nice shot of tequila. (Details in the photos) The chips and salsa were perfect. Both salsas are a must try. We shared a "Molcajete" IYKYK & if you don't, now is the time to try! I also asked for a baked potato on the side (hust like in Mexico). We got pretty full and weren't able to finish our food.
Our server, Julian, was absolutely outstanding! This man did not skip a beat! Everything was promptly & perfect. Great sense of humor, and we are so glad he tended to us.
We are definitely coming back to try their brunch.
Everywhere you look is a great conversation starter. The place felt harmonious! Oh, and the restrooms were clean and roomy!
