We ordered duck soup, half a duck, green beens, and the xiao long bao. It was delicous! Service is great, and ambiance is enjoyable for lunch and dinner. We can't wait to go back to this place after the lockdown is over. So great to have a place so close to us right on Mason!

Food taste and service is average. Not bad, but not stand out either. Price little high. It's the first one in Katy/Houston you need to use a straw to eat soup dumpling. I think the duck is over price.

The food was so delicious and it’s a very cute restaurant. Everything tasted fresh and I definitely plan on coming back! Highly recommend!

Wow! This place is amazing! Great dumplings and Beef fried rice. This place is in a strip center and don't let that stop you. Definitely we will be back!

This restaurant I guess I pretty new to me but almost all the dishes that we got were good! Dumplings aren't as flavorful as I'd like, but still not bad. Soup dumplings are actually pretty good with lots of soup inside. Shumai is just okay, and the soup that comes with the Peking duck is just bland but it feels like it cleans your insides after a heavy meal? I need salt in my life. Got the Hong Kong milk tea and BRUH it came in a giant mug and was SO WORTH IT. I could just go in and ask for one to go next time. Peking duck is actually good and comes with the tortillas, extra crunchy skin, green onions, Turbinado sugar, and some hoisin sauce all on the side. Will come back for more!

When we went out yesterday for. breakfast we saw Duck N Bao right behind the place we dined in for our breakfast. Looked like a very small location in a strip mall. Only has maybe a twenty-twenty five foot front. I thought it was going to be something like Fat Bao. A place that specializes in Bao and dumplings. Wrong I was. It's a very nice Chinese restaurant. With a huge menu and is much nicer inside than I expected. Their specialty is Peking Duck. (Which we will go back and try. If you want a whole Duck you need to preorder 4 days in advance according to our server) The restaurant was super clean and nicely appointed. Our server was very friendly and helpful. We stated out with 2 small orders of hot and sour soup. Much larger than we expected. Very tasty and well made. Small is $3.95 a bowl. More than enough for two people. Then we tried the pan fried chicken and pork dumplings. Absolutely delicious. $4.95 for six pieces. On to the hot oil dumplings. Another great dish. Ten pieces for $5.95. Spicy and oh so tasty. The last item we ordered was the fried beef Bao. 4 very nice sized Bao stuffed with delicious beef. We both had iced tea which was very tasty and fresh. Overall this place was a very pleasant surprise. It was not what we were expecting but not a shred of disappointment from either of us. Really looking forward to trying the whole Peking Duck and crepes.

I was exremely elated to see a dumpling/bao restaurant with options other than pork! Finally! The last time I was able to eat Soup Dumplings was Din Tai Fung in Toronto. Ever since, Chicken/beef dumplings are scarce in Houston. My husband and I ordered the Chicken soup dumplings, pan fried beef bao, shrimp with crispy rice, and crispy spicy chicken. The soup dumplings were great and hit the spot! and so were the beef bao. The chicken was so crispy it was amazing! The only downside to that was after a couple of bites, both my husband and myself found our mouths numb from the schezuan chillies. It wasn't offputting or hurting, but felt weird! The Shrimp was great, but the peel was still on which made it hard to eat (but it was still really good!) A lot of people messaged me on Instagram to see where I had gone since their presentation was fantastic! My husband and I will be back again :)

This is a definite must visit for anyone who appreciates an authentic flavor. I lived in Beijing for 8 years and find it difficult to locate a Chinese restaurant I would return to. Duck N bao is now top of my list for authentic Chinese in Cypress. Our sever, Aurora was very nice and she gave us lots of recommendations for us to try during out next visit!

I'm a little disappointed by the service to say the least. Let me first say, it's a little odd and a bit weird to see a hostess wear a SESAME STREET shirt with a hooded plaid jacket. VERY WEIRD for a Chineses Restaurant. Is that even a standard hostess uniform now? 2020 y'all LMFAOOO it would be more acceptable in a chillax LA vibe restaurant but at a Duck n Bao place??? Weird as hellllll Anyways... I called right at 11am to reserve a whole duck to be ready at 12:30pm. The lady over the phone said that it would be ready when we arrived. When we arrived the duck wasn't ready at all. It was a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. I scanned the restaurant and about 4 take tables were filled. When we got sat down, it took awhile to be seen. I'd say, about 10 minutes after looking at the menu, we finally had someone come and ask what we would like to drink. At that time I mentioned about the duck. By that time its already 12:50. Our waitresses would take our drink order and would immediately leave. I'm counting down the time and its 1:00pm and the only thing that came out first was the soup that comes with the duck order... I'm staring at my mom in strange disbelief. What??? You see the waiters standing around watching the TV and huddling around the computer system. My mom is getting a bit passive aggressive but the meter is slowly going to aggressive. She starts making comments saying "We should've gone to A Ly in Bellaire. We don't wait 40 min." Oh lord here comes the mad Asian woman. When the duck came out, my mom's heart jumped out of her body. Her blood pressure just went up. She literally screamed "THIS IS A WHOLE DUCK FOR $40 DOLLARS?!" wtf the small. I repeat. SMALL. Plate of Duck was $40. IMAGINE THE HALF SIZE. I've never seen my mom lost her appetite so quick in her life. Her face was of constant piss off face. I don't even want to engage in her wrath. It's f****** scary. She just kept sayin "WE SHOULD HAVE GONE TO A LY FOR $25!! MY GOD" Our duck wasn't even on time, and the plate was so small she even felt cheated. Lord have mercy It pains me but this is the worst experience plus being cheated out of a whole duck. $40 for basically a baby duck. I got an earful from my mom that we should have gone somewhere else. The duck soup does not justify the price of a small duck. There skin was so soggy my tastebud were so disappointed. There's a sign on the table asking to write a review good or bad and you'll get a $5 coupon to come back. Unfortunately this experience for just $5 is not enough to bring me back. We ended up taking our food togo. Then my mom asks, "how much would it cost to get the tortilla wrap" it's crazy to hear that it costs 5.95 for 10 THIN pieces. Dear lawd. I could go to La Michoacana and buy an white bag of 100 tortillas for $2. My mom gave the manager and earful. Her wrath was not good. The manager then says to us that she'll give us a "discount " and by discount they give us not one but TWO $5 coupons. If one wasn't enough for a yelp review but 2. The other one for a poor experience. Jesus Christ. We left those "coupons" back on the table. You can see the wait staff and the manager huddle together and read my review and then PROCEED to tell me is there anything wrong? The craziest thing is that WE VOICED our concerns but it seemed dismissed. Nothing happens until they huddle and read my review and then confront me. Unfortunately the manager had the AUDACITY to ask for me to remove my review. She bends over while she is standing and has herself eye level and asks and says "um can you please remove your review?" I'm sorry, WHAT but we were also ACCUSED on coming in LATE. I explained to her if she checked the cameras it would show that we came ON TIME at 12:30PM. Having the food ticket is NOT the

Very tasty traditional style roasted duck. Need reserve so they can serve it hot and crispy from the oven. Good service and very clean place.

I've been wanting to try Duck n Bao for a long time. It's very nice inside. Cozy, yet modern. I have two words -- SOUP. DUMPLINGS. So delicious. I had the pork dumplings. I should've just ordered two baskets of dumplings. I experimented, and ordered the Dan Dan Noodles with ground pork and numbing chili sauce. I didn't like it. I'm sure it was prepared correctly-- it just wasn't for me. The Thai Milk Tea was served in a tall stein and perfectly sweet. I was sort of hoping for some sort of lunch specials since I was dining alone. But the menu lends itself to ala carte options and sharing plates.

Our first time to visit this restaurant. Nice interior - cozy booths, pleasant lighting. Prompt courteous service. We ordered duck soup, fried dumplings, and spicy crispy chicken. Everything was delicious. We will definitely be back.
