I thought this would be our family spot and I thought wrong. We ate here Christmas Day and it was great! We normally go to the location on 1960. However, this one location is closer to home. So my husband said let’s go out to eat with way better other options we’ve could’ve gone but because Christmas Day was a great experience, we decided let’s go eat estar. Well, we arrived a little after 7 and maybe two other families were there and one other person. I guess after 7 and because they close at 9:30 they stop bringing out hot food. The food was cold, some of the meats and garlic bread were hard and dry. The plate I made was cold and I put it to the side. I wasn’t taking the chance to get sick. However, my husband and kids ate what they could but complained. I told our waiter about the cold food and he told the manager who did absolutely nothing.. But then tried to stir the food around thinking that would resolve the matter. Then I started to smell cleaning products and people were still eating. There were a family with a small baby that sat near the kitchen area where the fumes were coming from. We as well had our small 10 month old. These people have no business being here running a business.. my husband still paid $104 for the crappy food and the unpleasant service. I normally would complain and ask for some type of compensation but my husband said not to worry and stated we will never come here again. The manager was not at all sympathetic nor did try to make it right. I do not recommend this place AT ALL, especially after 7. They have cold stale food and they start cleaning while you’re sitting and try to eat. I see now why reviews are low. Go to the 1960 location near willow brook mall. Never had an issue, it’s worth the drive.

A really lovely and cozy Chinese restaurant with an impressive buffet selection, this place won us over from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere felt warm and comfortable, the dishes were delicious and varied, and the service was attentive in all the right ways. We all ate to our satisfaction, enjoyed a relaxing time together, and left already looking forward to our next visit.

The servers are friendly enough, if you can get past the glaring or side glances. The food was good the first two times we came here but after that, it downgraded terribly. The LAST time we came, we decided to tip because why not, good may have been the equivalent to slosh but the service was kindly enough— they overcharged us by $20. The tip was just enough to round up the bill, where the $20 came from? Beats me. They used to be better, now it is just a must-skip diner.
Pretty typical Chinese Buffet. Food is good quality and my children ask to eat here whenever we pass through Katy.

I’ve always loved coming to this buffet back when it was our local buffet so I might harbor some familiar bias, but believe me when I tell you the food is good and the staff are great. They were surprisingly packed after 3 pm on Friday but our service was still excellent
