Recently I had the chance to try a new gem in Katy. El Sol restaurant, what a wonderful breakfast experience we had. First the restaurant itself was bright and airy very clean and inviting. Second our waitress was very welcoming and helpful in the ordering and dining process. Third the food was absolutely delicious and very flavorful! We both had Papusas and my brother had a glass of horchata it was cold sweet and delicious! I highly recommend this place!

DECEIVING PRACTICES, REGULAR FOOD, GOT THE BE PATIENT WITH THEIR MUSIC...This place has a menu that displays several "Lunch-specials", like any other restaurant that provides an incentive for an affordable lunch on week-days. for this, they announce plates with a Fountain Drink included, for X price. But, their Fountain Drink machine has not worked for several months, so they bring you a soda can instead. But when charging you the check, they charge for that Soda can separtedly. Why drink is not included as the menu promises?, well , because the menu promises from the machine, not from a can, same difference!, this is ridiculous. But they do not clarify you this when you order. All in all, the food is not that great, you need to wait easily 15-30 minutes for a Pupusas order, plus, all the time they will be playing out loud Christian music, whether you like to hear it or not. Funny, they have these deceiving practices... Would not recommend it.

Tried this place for the first time today and I couldn't be happier with the overall experience. The place has a nice atmosphere, attentive staff (Erik) and the food is solid! We tried the pupusas, tamales, tostadas and of course, their chips and salsa. It was all tasty and great quality. We're definitely coming back soon!

I was in search of a traditional Mexican breakfast, and this hit the spot. Our server was friendly and welcoming. It's a nice, clean restaurant, tucked away in a corner. Prices were reasonable. Definitely coming back.

At here the other day for the first time. Came for the Pupusa which was great (but messing the hot green sauce). We also tried the tamale, and Pastelitos De Carne O Pollo, both of these were bland. I also had the Mexican hot dog which was good but nothing to go out for. So other than Pupusa I have never eaten El Salvador food, maybe it's more bland than Mexican food in general? If so they are probably doing everything right. If not they really need to up the flavor. But the place was very clean and the service was good. Surprisingly the place was empty besides our table, a couple carry out orders came in while we were there but this was a Saturday night!

I had the carne asada and it was just ok. The meat was very small and it had what it seemed to be refried beans from a can. I also had a pupusa and it was much better and of a good size. What really kills the vibes is the music. It's so boring and it kills the vibe. Maybe for a church could work but not when you wanna have a good time. Next time I'll just order to go.
The food here is fresh, and hand made. The service is outstanding, and the prices are very economical compared with the large portions you receive. If you're looking for a Salvadorean restaurant, without having to travel to SW Houston, then this is the place for you. I definitely recommend this place to all my family, friends, and co-workers. Oh, there is plenty of parking space available.

I stopped in for lunch in the way home around noon on a Thursday. I ordered the tacos el carbon lunch special which included iced tea. The food was delicious and reasonably priced! I can't wait to go back CC for my birthday
