I ordered chicken fried chicken and I got chicken fried steak. It was nothing but gristle. I could not even swallow one bite of it. On top of that I did not get the broccolini that comes with the chicken fried chicken. Then they took my food and came back with broccolini. Then they took the broccolini and the bread and my silverware so I could not eat anything. It was a disaster. Everyone was done eating and then I got my food.l
Is it too much to ask to get chicken fried chicken. Unbelievable bad service. They did not even come my meal..TERRIBLE SERVICE SIGNIFICANT

The Federal Grill of Katy is top-tier, and after just our second visit it's already becoming our new go-to spot. The Bang Bang Shrimp is still absolutely phenomenal, the Oysters Rockefeller are to die for, and the shrimp & grits are straight-up heavenly. The blackened chicken Alfredo is so good it feels like a first-class trip to Italy in a bowl. Add in an everyday happy hour from 3–7, and it's hard to find a better deal for the quality you're getting. Great service from start to finish, too. Highly recommend.
Been here several times in the past. Last visit was probably a year ago. Always been great food and service. Went last night with another couple and it was nothing like past visits. Took forever to get our food and once it arrived, all four entrees were barely warm. It was nearly an hour between salads and the time our entrees arrived, so we did not send them back at that point. Waiter was great and apologetic for the long wait, but doubt we will be going back. My bill alone (for 2) was $400 with tip, which included a bottle of wine. Bottom line, the value was just not there.
Waiter was good except they kept bringing out the food so fast and the check that we felt like we were rushed to eat and leave . The main dish was good but the dessert was not good. Overpriced for what you get.
We had reservations for New Year's Eve, and when we placed our reservation on OpenTable, it was not clear that they were only offering one menu. The pop-up for the NYE menu looked as though you could choose it for a special setting or make a standard table reservation. Pretty disappointing when you have picky college kids. Also, a little surprising because there were other families with much younger children. We ended up leaving because our kids said there was nothing on the NYE menu that they would choose to eat. Our server, Sabrina, was very gracious and understanding. Perhaps we will come back without kids and ask for her section.
While making this reservation we should have been advised of a set menu for the holiday, the menu choices and the prices. The choices were much less than the normal menu and the servings were smaller than normal. I will think again before using Open Table for a holiday reservation at this or any other restaurant. $75.00 per person at this restaurant is ridiculous for what is provided regardless of the holiday.
The short rib entree was tasty with the mushroom risotto but the rib portion was 1 small (2 1/2in x 2 in) piece of rib half of of which was fat. So about a tablespoon of meat. For the $23 price I expected more. Will not order this item again. My guest said her crab cake as an entree was meaty and delicious but the absence of the asparagus side as per listed on the menu was disappointing. The waitress stated they no longer serve the asparagus even though it's still on the menu. I feel she should have been offered a substitute vegetable. Overall, the food is good but overpriced but the cocktail happy hour drinks were a good price. The service was good and my guest appreciated a complimentary bread pudding dessert for her birthday.
We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our daughter and her family. It was a very busy night, but we had reservations. The food and service were both outstanding, but the bartender might’ve needed a little more experience. Management was very cooperative and understood our concerns. We would recommend and plan to return.
Went for brunch as we'd heard it was really good and felt the food was just average. I would not suggest at the price point for special occasion.
We went in for a birthday celebration and had an excellent time! Hayden was our server and he was attentive, knowledgeable, and overall a great experience. We tried the fried green tomatoes, the Kahn, cow calamari, and the bang bang shrimp with appetizers all of which were excellent. For entrées, we had the sticky ribs, the oysters Rockefeller, the braised ribs, Sticky ribs, the Seabass, Poke, and Meatloaf... There's nothing on that menu that wasn't delicious.

Our server Gabriel was AMAZING! He recommended the Elijah Craig Old Fashioned, which was AMAZING and made sure our visit was 5 Star from start to finish! We will be recommending Federal American Grill to everyone!!

First time there, my mom picked for her bday. Claiming best meatloaf anywhere. We booked reservations that was awesome. We had a great table. She made my husband try her meatloaf. He said it was really good. I really enjoyed my seafood dish... I wish I remembered what it was now blackened something. I think it was a special. I also really enjoyed the calamari. Their drinks to me were just OK and i definitely did not like the bread which is probably good cause it didn't carb load. My son ordered the one chocolate chip cookie dessert and it was sooooo. good. I think for the options in the ambience the prices were good! Weight staff was awesome. I would probably return.
