Gringo's Mexican Kitchen {Katy}

Had a great experience here the other night for a business dinner. I ordered the shrimp brochette and they were delicious. Their charro beans are the best ever omg I loved them. Good flavor and texture on the beans. I also had the dreamsicle Rita and it was excellent. Our server was attentive and friendly. We got there just before 5pm and it filled up quickly thereafter

Our server made a not so good situation great. The restaurant lost power, no fault of there own. The food was great and the service was awesome!

The margaritas are not the best but the atmosphere is nice and the food is good.

We tried the Pollo Tampico and Fajita Bowl — both were decent, though not super flavorful. Chips and salsa were really tasty, and the service was excellent. I had the house margarita; it was okay, but I’ve had better ones around Katy. The place itself is clean, cozy, and has a nice, welcoming vibe. Overall, a pleasant spot for a relaxed meal!

I had a family dinner planned after our wedding and called months before to confirm how to seat our party. I was told to to get on the waitlist, then call the restaurant to tell them my party size and they’d start getting a table ready.

The day of, they said they said we would wait an hour and cannot be seated together. We ended up getting our party to another restaurant that actually values our business.

I always loved Gringos but they’ve lost our business for life.

Service was good but the rice and beans was cold, the meat(combo chicken/steak) was great, tender and full of flavor. We went for dinner and it seemed busier than normal but we will be coming back as they tend to be one of the better Mexican restaurants in the area.

I was back in Katy on October 15, 2025 for my work, so I decided to stop by and get food here. My server, Samara, was absolutely phenomenal. She was very kind, friendly and attentive. She made sure my dining experience was great. Thank you again for your outstanding service 🙂
The food was great and the music was fun. This is just a great place to eat and have a good time. I look forward to when I'm in Katy next. I'll definitely be eating here again.
