Although this was our second time coming to this bakery IT WILL BE OUR LAST! Our experience this time was completely unsatisfactory and we will not be giving our hard earned money to Lucy love bakery again.
On the day of pickup my husband picked up the cake, the manager did not give him a top for the cake. After my husband asked her multiple times for something that should have already been given to him the manager responded with “are you special needs or something, I don’t have a top for the box!” After speaking with her for a little longer she was finally able to find a top for the box. That was the first thing about this situation that her customer service was unsatisfactory. The second, when looking at pictures of the cake we noticed that the back of the cake was not finished. When I called to express my concern she already knew what she did wrong and explained to me she did not have the correct materials to fulfill our cake order so she decided to not finish the back of the cake but in turn expected us to fulfill our payment. After being hung up on. I called the next day to ask for a partial refund since my order was partially done. At first she offered $10 worth of pastries. I explained to her I wanted a partial refund and she refused. After talking to her and expressing to her I would prefer a partial refund, she became angry with me and was very rude because she did not feel like I deserved any money back she felt as though the cake still looked good even though she purposely did not fulfill her end of the agreement and gave us a cake that was not finished and was never going to say anything about it to us when we picked up the cake.
The manager is extremely disrespectful, very rude, short tempered, and does not fulfill the agreement of your order but expects you to pay full price for half the work.
WE WILL NOT be coming back to lucy love bakery because of our terrible, rude, and disrespectful experience we had and I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU STAY AWAY AS WELL!!

Very unprofessional, and rude. My family purchased a cake for my nieces birthday here, and the cake was not even completely decorated. The woman who worked on the cake, was extremely rude and disrespectful to my in laws, calling them names, hanging up on them, and very very confrontational when confronted on the issue. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. For the amount of money you spend here, you should have nothing but exceptional service.

DON’T GO TO THIS PLACE, the staff is extremely rude and super unprofessional. My family ordered a cake from here and they did not have the proper size material to place the cake on. They also did not decorate the back of the cake and no one called to stay anything, they just allowed us to show up to get the cake and the cake was tilted on arrival. They also didn’t want to completely cover the cake so that it be transported with care, noting to cover the cake until demanding that the cake be properly covered. Completely horrible service and extremely unprofessional…..DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE AT ALL.

Very rude woman. No customer service skills at all. She asked me if I was “Special Needs or something” because I didn’t want to take the $250 cake I purchased home without a top on it. I had to then demand her to produce a top for my cake box

I got home and we realized the cake was leaning and she didn’t finish putting icing lining on the base of the cake. My wife called her to make a complaint and when she told her what cake it was she said yea she didn’t have enough space on the base to finish lining the cake.

That was never discussed when I pick up the $250 cake. She then got an attitude with my wife and hung up the phone in her face. The calling and hanging up continued multiple times.

This was my second time coming here for a cake for my daughter and I will NEVER come back here again because of the deceptive practices, name calling, and her hanging up on my wife multiple times. Customer Service is O out of 5 starts

Every time I walk in, it’s like stepping into food heaven — the smell of fresh pastries hits you like a warm hug, and the taste? Flaky, buttery, soft — every bite feels homemade, like someone’s grandma spent hours making it just for you. 🥐🔥

The staff? Angels. The owner? A whole sweetheart. Everyone’s super kind, chill, and welcoming. You feel taken care of the second you walk in.

Favorite Eastern European food and fresh goods all day!!

I don’t know about you, but next time they make samsa, I will be camping outside new-iphone-release style to snatch up the very first batch for me, myself, and mine (not sharing!). It is a-ma-zing! Soft and flavorful filling in a satisfyingly crunchy dough - a recipe for a very happy rest of the day, highly recommend! Plus, you can always further elevate your experience with any of the tasty baked sweets sold here as well, or better yet: with a THIRD samsa!!! (given that you ate two, but only a fool eats just one, so two is a default here) If samsa is not an every day item, I suggest the owner to have something like a schedule online to let people know what’s in store on any particular day.

They do have a new owner that’s why I highly recommend you to visit the bakery. Very yummy cakes, desserts and backing goods.
Also there’s a small convenient store with popular Eastern European food

Tired of all starbucks and DD low quality coffee and wanna taste really good pastries - this is the place. The best Kyiv cake and Lavaza coffee. And for those who is looking for some protein you should try syrniki, after them you will forget about protein bars. Highly recommend.
