La Machaka Tex-Mex

I adore good Mexican food, so I have a handful of real favorites in my neighborhood. Tonight I was at a concert outside of my neighborhood and when it was over, I was craving Mexican food. So I did a search for Mexican near me and came up with La Machaka Tex Mex. Man was I happy I went there! First off they had Barbacoa, which many restaurants do not have, and I love enchiladas so I order enchiladas and a Barbacoa taco on the side. The rice was outstanding, the cheese enchilada ( the best I’ve had in awhile) the refried beans were really good, and the barbacoa taco was to die for! The marg was quite good, as well! Hope you’ll try it.

Attentive waiter, food was amazing, and there was only one other table in the restaurant at the time so it was very quiet. It was nice to find a place not over crowded so you can actually enjoy the meal.

Very good spot! Mole plate was bomb! Definitely get that again! Their $10 shot on top margarita was on point!! Got 2 of them! Service was very professional and friendly. Shout out to Cirilo C. He did a wonderful job as the server! Atmosphere vibe was clean and chill. Will definitely come back! Music can be a little bit louder!

me and my family visit this place this afternoon and safe to say we won’t be going back. food had NO flavor and chicken looked undercooked, i sent it back and was asked if i wanted anything else and i said no, i could already tell the food was awful. when we arrived it was only one other party (that should tell you something about a restaurant) so i automatically knew it was not going to be good. so since it was super slow i thought the service would’ve been better but it lacked that too.

Have you ever been to a restaurant and wondered if a grandma was back there cooking? That’s exactly how I felt at La Machaka! From the homemade flour tortillas — probably the best I've ever had, second only to my good buddy's grandma’s — to the delicious Molcajete I couldn’t get enough of, this place is definitely worth a visit. I love spicy foods and tried all three salsas, and I was pleasantly surprised—they didn’t hold back! If you enjoy some heat, go for La Toxica! No, not your old ex, but a salsa packed with flavor and just the right amount of spice—not enough to require a waiver or anything. We ordered the enchiladas verdes, Molcajete, and beef fajitas, and all of them were fantastic. Like I said, this place feels and tastes like grandma's kitchen — a cozy spot where your tummy can get some loving.

Absolutely the best Tex-Mex in Katy. Great service, they treat you like family, and I really enjoyed their mixed fajitas and margaritas. Definitely will be back! :)

First time and last. Yall need help with waitresses and getting food out in a timely manner. It was not busy and took well over 45 mins.
if you offer a brunch menu ask your clients if they would like that or Lunch. Food was cold and very disappointing.

If I can give this place a 0 I would, simple based on their customer service. The waiter was ok not rude or anything. But I’m guessing he was supervised by a very rude lady. She pulled him away from the table in the middle of us placing our order. Was literally looking at us like we didn’t even belong in this establishment. My son who is only 1 year old was walking around the patio area
(supervised) she was literally sitting down with another family and turned her back to him as if she didn’t even want him there. Very very rude and bad customer service. I will not be returning here. When I said something about the situation she said that she didn’t even work there. Which was a lie because she greeted me at the door. That’s how I know she knew exactly what she did and how rude was to us.
