My wife and I went to Landry's Seafood Kitechen in Katy to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary since have had excellent dining experiences at other Landry's restaurants in the past, we had high expectations and we looking for a really nice, upscale dining experience, but we ended up being very, very disappointed.
To start off, I ordered a Moscow Mule which had so much mint in it I couldn’t drink it and had to send it back, then ordered a whiskey sour which was subpar at best.
The I ordered a cup of shrimp and crab gumbo which has zero crab and only 5 shrimp. For $9.00 I expect more than 5 shrimp in my gumbo. I didn't complain about it and just ate it because I didn't want to be a pest.
I ordered the seafood plater for my entre which was excellent. The catfish melted in my mouth and everything else tasted great. My wife ordered a side salad with balsamic vinaigrette and they brought out bottles of oil & vinegar which she said was sticky to the touch. She sent that back and asked for ranch dressing instead. She said the salad was very good.
She ordered the pan seared Chilean sea bass which she said was excellent but unfortunately, the seasonal veggies were overcooked and mushy. The vegetable orzo was so sticky it was clumping together. Needless to say, she did not eat much of the sides because they were so bad.
We were so disappointed that we didn't bother sticking around for dessert and just paid the bill and left
Food was over salted. Staff and manager were concerned. We had the over salted entree comped by the manager. We were also given a free desert to help celebrate our anniversary. Very nice. Service was excellent. The appetizer was most excellent. Stuffed mushrooms.

Never going back to Landry’s at Katy Freeway. Ordered the fried cod and they served three greasy small pieces of fish with the drippings of the batter. Horrible. Service was ok and not expensive but food was terrible

We made a reservation, unaware that a limited menu for this specific day was being offered at around $50 per meal. Since there were five of us, we decided to stay because we were hungry. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing and lacked flavor. My salad was dry something that looked like it was thrown together and my daughter’s pasta was runny. We ended up sending both dishes back. I expected more for over $200 spent. We all were mostly disappointed that the food didn’t have flavor.
On a positive note, the server was excellent and the atmosphere was nice, but overall the experience didn’t live up to the price or occasion. I won’t be returning.

I enjoyed the taste of the food, but wasn't worth tolerating the arrogance of our server. He is a old white man who had this air of arrogance about him, and was behaving very stuck up with us.
While passing he was mouthing something looking at me, and was making me very nervous. We were on a date, me and my husband, and I didn't want to create a scene, but he spoiled my mood. won't come back to this location.
Food was horrible. Tasteless. Drinks were watered down. Server was nice. Wouldn’t go back again.

Excellent meal and a real nice service crew. The host was really nice as was our waiter Derek. From order to deliver was just under 12 minutes. The Broiled Redfish was awesome.
