This place is wonderful! The music is a good volume and the coffee is really good! I came and got a Toffee Moon, perfect for someone who likes their coffee sweet. It came in the cutest little mason jar. I also got a breakfast sandwich which was also really yummy. The bread was crispy and the sausage was flavorful. The interior is super cute and staff is very friendly and welcoming. Love this place!

The staff seemed really nice and friendly. I ordered a lavender lemonade(I had coffee earlier and too much is not good for my heart) and the lavender notes really came through. I also shared a scone with my friend which was also really good. There were also some handmade keychains, enamel pins, and even nails made by the owner, and had I not been a broke college student, I definitely would've copped some. I will be returning for the ambience, snacks, drinks, and the amazing handmade items. (P.S. The nails were absolutely beautiful. My only criticism is that I hope the owner starts selling nails in the large size. Medium is a bit small on me)

Service was great! Kyler was an amazing barista; I asked for a recommendation for something moderately sweet and he gave me the perfect drink, quick and polite. The place itself is very cutesy and warm—I loved the homemade charms and keychains. Will definitely return!!

I’ve driven by here many times, but finally had an excuse to try it! The atmosphere is cute and relaxing. Customers can either order straight away or first explore a wall of charms, magnets, and manga. I got an iced latte, and I was thrilled to see that they put “for here” iced drinks in a reusable glass rather than plastic. Great quality coffee and a creative selection of flavors!

Good coffee, wouldn’t hurt for staff to be friendlier, not that they were rude but good service is appreciated.

A unique coffee house with a good selection of coffee choices. I liked the anime touches. I would have loved to stay as the staff was very welcoming.

AMAZING
Worst coffee ever. It seems they don’t know how to make coffee.
I was excited to visit Lava Coffee after seeing photos online, expecting a cozy atmosphere — but the reality didn’t match. The décor was mostly anime-themed drawings taped to the walls, which felt more like coloring book pages than thoughtful design. It lacked the inviting ambiance you’d typically expect from a coffee shop.
The staff were friendly enough, but not particularly accommodating. There were no stirrers available — we had to use a plastic straw to mix our drinks. When I ordered an espresso over cream, I was corrected instead of accommodated, and it was served in a glass shot glass, not how I requested.
There were also no gluten-free options available, which was disappointing. Overall, it didn’t feel like a true coffee shop experience. I think with some attention to ambiance, customer service, and basic offerings, Lava Coffee could greatly improve.
The honey bear is the best latte!!
I needed a place to do some schoolwork and was in the area. They are very polite and gave great service. I hate how a previous review says nothing special. They have plenty of space, the music wasn’t too loud, and the coffee was good. WiFi was great as well, seemed like a pretty special staple in the area to me.
