Ordered DoorDash from Los Cucos tonight. Delivery was hot and plated well. I’d never eaten at Los Cucos, but while visiting friends this was a nearby Mexican restaurant. Chicken Quesadillas were delicious. Nachos were okay but probably not the best for take out. I’ll give it another try - next time I’ll try dine in.

Pretty solid Tex Mex. Started with the chips and queso which I thought their queso was just alright, a little too artificial tasting. The enchiladas here though were so good. Got the enchiladas verdes which had chicken inside and mmmmm that green sauce is divine. The beans were super super good too I love when the beans are THIS dark in color. Also got a frozen blackberry margarita and this might be one of my favorite margaritas ive ever had. I wish the blackberry was more mixed in and not a liquid poured over a standard frozen marg but it still tasted sooooo good so I won’t complain.

If you ever find yourself in Katy this the place to eat. The food was delicious! The staff was amazing! They moved around like clock work. We loved their chips and salsa awsome. Had just enough spiciness for anyone to enjoy. It seemed to be house made. We will definitely come back when visiting Katy.

Terrible food. The shrimp tacos were cold. The shrimp appeared to have been cooked, frozen and then thawed. Nothing sauteed or grilled about them.. The chips with the queso were thick and like leather. The soup was warm but some of the vegetables were ice cold in the warm soup. And the water tasted worse than water drinking from a hose....nasty tasting water.

My husband and I arrived at 9pm on Thursday evening after Xmas shopping. We were seated pretty quickly and someone took our drink order then another person brought chips and dip about 10 mins later. My husband and I decided to sit next to one another and for the next 20 mins with empty drinks and no chips or dip Noone checked on us or took our order so we left. Considering there were less than 10 patrons in the entire restaurant As a former business owner I was highly disappointed and couldnt help but notice that we were being discriminated against. This establishment has a very poor business ethic . If you dont promote discrimination then dont support this business.

Los Cucos was okay for me, but nothing really stood out. The food tasted like something I could get at a lot of other places, and for the price, I expected a bit more flavor or uniqueness. I remember taking a few bites and thinking it wasn’t bad, just not worth what I paid. The atmosphere was fine and the service was decent, but taste-wise, it didn’t leave much of an impression. Three stars.

My daughter had a short curly hair in her quesadilla and my drink had food floating in it. We won’t be back. Lots of little things we noticed that point to being not very clean in the back.

Warning: Questionable Billing Practices & Managerial Failure

We came to Los Cucos expecting a pleasant meal, but left deeply concerned about the management's integrity and highly frustrated by the service. While slow service can often be forgiven if the food is excellent, nothing excuses the sheer unprofessionalism and, frankly, the shady billing practices we experienced.

The issues began simply enough: our waiter was pushy, arrogant, and slow. When we finally flagged down our waiter for the check, the real problems started. It took over 10 minutes for him to bring our checks. The printed checks showed a total, we handed him our credit cards, and he left for what felt like 20 minutes. I let him know I was in a rush and needed to pick up my daughter from an activity. When he arrived and handed us the checks to sign, the amounts were no where near the amounts on the original checks. The meals and drinks were mixed up, when they were originally correct. The waiter took the slips to who I presume was the manager.

This immediately escalated the situation. They stood there for many, many minutes trying to figure out the receipts. The manager handled the complaint with an air of annoyance, not apology. After nearly 10 minutes of watching the manager fumble with the machine and paperwork, the final result was unacceptable: we still ended up being charged a different total than the original check and are hoping we were refunded the mixed up amounts. Worse than the financial annoyance was the attitude. At no point—not from the waiter, and certainly, not from the manager—did we receive a any sort of apology for the trouble, the massive inconvenience, or the failure to correct the bill in a timely fashion.

This isn't just a review about slow service; it's a serious warning about dishonest financial practices. If you choose to eat here, meticulously check every charge and every receipt. I cannot recommend this establishment. Save yourself the headache and the risk of being overcharged.

Food was excellent! I had a chicken breast stuffed with shrimp and mushrooms. Great service. Our only complaint was it was freezing inside. Not the worst thing in hot Texas!
