UPDATE: I have been here 6 times now, and I can confidently say that you will not find a better sushi restaurant in all of USA!
There are very few good sushi spots in Houston. This is the best of the best.
This place also has unique fish choices which you won't find in other places - whether that's Barracuda, or Sea Perch, or Mehikari, its sushi heaven!! They also serve real otoro tuna (a rare thing), and you can immediately tell the difference!
My review is primarily for the nigiri. My wife ordered some rolls, but I didn't try those.

You get a picture of the outside cause I ate my food before I could even snap a picture of it.
I got the lunch special with the hand rolls and they were so good! Good quality fish. Service was so friendly and good. Definitely will be returning!

First time trying this place out. Upon arrival, there was a small wait but nothing major. First red flag: maybe a manager or owner was handling the seating.. confirming the number in my party, I verbally as well as visually confirmed that it was two of us… Him: oh is that a gang sign? Accompanied by forced laughter… awkward and unsure as to why he thought that was appropriate, we proceeded to the table to dine.. Ordering was fine, initially.. after receiving our food, not one person checked on us. Everyone else was being attended to but us. We were interested in ordering more but, their lack of interest in us was met with the same. The same man provided us with the check and more awkwardness.. so no sir, you will not see us tomorrow.

Absolutely amazing sushi! Everything was fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The staff were so welcoming and attentive, and the owner is incredibly kind and friendly. The whole experience felt effortless. My new favorite spot — definitely will come back again!

We had fantastic sushi! I believe it was the owner that took care of us at the bar and poured the nicest glass of wine I’ve ever had! We live in the Hill country and stop here on our way home every trip to Houston. We’re on our way there this afternoon!
