I tried the Spider Roll Bento. Mmm. Everything was delicious. It came with a small salad, an egg roll and fried shrimp. The Sushi was freshly prepared, flavorful and held together quite well.Really friendly service too. Our server brought us a complimentary dish of garlic green beans which was fantastic. We devoured it!Be sure to try the green tea (hot or cold). They'll keep the refills coming. Very good! Overall, a decently priced delicious Sczezuan place in Katy. It's worth checking out!

Unimpressed, I gave 2 stars because they're one of the few restaurants that actually deliver. Food was okay but not great. Crab puff was nasty it's supposed to have crab, cream cheese and chive! I don't know what that stuff inside was, gross and disgusting.

This was our 1st visit here and we were not disappointed. my daughter (6) got the wonton soup and really liked it. both my hubby and I really liked ours as well. great flavor (his was spicy, I asked for a wimpy no spicy version lol). big portions. none of us finished, but that just means we have another delicious meal for leftovers. we will be coming back again for sure!

I will not be going to this place ever again! They fill the meat bowls up with with rice noodles to make it seem as if you are getting a lot when in all actuality you are getting very little for the price. There is absolutely no sauce at all. I specifically asked for “ meat only” to avoid this but they went ahead as put it anyway. Find somewhere else to go that’s actually with the money you spend.Mongolian beef also tastes terrible. I also found a small piece of metal in my fried rice ?Highly disappointed! Update: Thanks for letting me know it was stainless steel sponge, I feel so much better now. I hope it was at least a new one and not used ??gross!

We’ve been looking for good Chinese fare since moving to the area from Sugar Land a few months ago This was our first time trying out Mala…and we will DEFINITELY become repeat customers! The hot and sour soup was incredible! (Thanks for the complimentary bowl). So rich and tasty … with a smoky “Texas Sichuan” flavor.

The chicken lo mein and garlic chicken were both delicious - the only reason we didn't give them 5 stars is because they have no children portions or children's menu. The regular sized portion was much too large for my child.

Very good food. Sichuan style.Mildly spicy is a pleasant level of heat but definitely still mild. The Dan Dan noodles were great.The egg rolls are very lightly seasoned so you get the taste of the natural ingredients (rather than a lot of 5-spice).The vegetable fried rice has mushrooms and is very earthy in flavor.
The shrimp fried rice was very bland and the rice was clumped together with white rice. Shrimp had no taste. The seamee chicken was fair. Dumped in heavy sauce but dry. Waste of 42 dollars.

I just moved here and was looking for a good place to eat and @mala hit the spot. I would recommend the "American" Chinese dishes here like a general tsos chicken. You really want to try the very flavorful and spicy Szechuan food!

This has been our go to Chinese place all through the pandemic. After having tried almost everything on the menu, I have come to the conclusion that this place is incapable of making bad good. Everything we have ordered over the past year has ranged to wonderful to outstanding. Personal favorite is "Pork with Bamboo Shoots." Give them a try, you won't regret it.

As a long term customer and a Chinese, I promise you this is the best Chinese food around the area. The owner is very sweet and thoughtful, she just read your mind! Food tastes really good, strongly recommend the shrimp fired rice, sui zu new roy, string beans, Sichuan fried chicken.. lol You won't regret!
