Noticed the name change to Fuego (same owner) & decided to check it out, finally. Arrived in the afternoon with my picky eater father craving chips & salsa.

I come to Texas 3-4 times a year and come here each time. This is the second time this week. My kids and grandkids, who live nearby, found this place and love it. Food is excellent and the servers are great to the grandkids. Traditional Mexican fare is great. Tonight o had the red snapper. Wish I had taken a picture of it before I ate it. Good enough to order again!

Still finishing up my lunch but couldn't wait to give this place 5 stars!!!! I've been to a plethora of real mexican restaurants in the Houston are, but few compare to how good this place is. Starting from the chips and salsa, very delicate crisp chips, avocado salsa was so good I added it to my rice! The street tacos were also amazing, the meat was seasoned so well, the onions still had their crunch, and the cheeeeese! Everything about it was amazing! The portion sizes are HUGE! You will be beyond filled once you're done. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. This place is now my favorite mexican restaurant in the Katy area, and will definitely be back for more!!!!!

Lived in Texas for more than 16 years and this is hands down the best TexMex I've ever had. Dishes are affordable. The staff is amazingly kind.

So good! I judge a Mexican restaurant by their salsa, margarita, crispy taco and cheese enchilada. All were great! The margarita was authentic, made with fresh limes, not a sweet mixer. Try this place!! I think you will be glad you did.

Figured, well grandpa loves this place let me give it a try... order the Chalie Nachos after seeing the picture and thought wow those do look good. Let me order them without the jalapenos... however the cooked multilayered shredded cheese turned out to be 10% shredded the rest felt like from a jar cheese whizz. The fajita felt rubbery at best. The atmosphere was nice, felt very much like a family owned business and the cumbia music playing thru the spotify list on Google chromecast on the TV was nice but other then that. Not worth it. Try one of the other mom and pop shops for Mexican food

Extremely good fajitas. Most places would have pretty dry meat, but this place has probably the juiciest fajitas ever.

The Snapper vera Cruz with the crab and shrimp in a white wine sauce is delicious. The value is great for the price, and the service is progressive and pleasant ... The salsa and chips are fresh, and the ice tea is very refreshing ... I will order this entrée,again. Highly recommend this TEX MEX Restaurant !

If a place is empty on Friday evening at 7 pm, turn around and walk back out. We learned the hard way here.

I crave their tacos americanos and green sauce daily and I now live 1000 miles away. I'll back to Texas to visit family and request this place every time.

We ordered doordash so i cant speak to service or decor but the food is delicious. We ordered the sampler appetizer and two orders of flautas. We had requested all toppings on the side, such as sour cream and guac not be put on the flautas as I like it and my husband doesnt but we didnt want them arriving soggy. This didnt happen, they arrived fully dressed with all toppings to my husbands displeasure. Otherwise everything was rather perfect. The flautas were crispy but not over cooked, the nachos were delicious, the quesadillas were delicious, the black beans are more soup style than I'm used to but had great flavor, and the rice was well seasoned too. We are absolutely in love with the green salsa they sent with the chips, we kept trying to beat each other the the container because it tasted so good. The red salsa was surprisingly good too, we arent big fans of red salsa but this had a deliciously fresh taste and a nice bit of a spice bite. Cant wait to order from them again!

The food is ehhhh. Definitely not good. But not the worst. 1. Biggest mistake was ordering their food through doordash. I saw them opening and figured I'd give it a try. I checked doordash. Checked their website. - I've learned that you get better details about what you're ordering on the restaurant's page. It was wrong. But of course they couldn't do anything about it because it was ordered through doordash. And doordash's customer service is non existent. 2. Ordered Neca Combo plate (appetizer) Nachos - supposed to be cheese and beans. For additional charges. You can add chicken or meat. Mine had meat and chicken. Both of which my children don't eat. (It was for them. Quesadillas- supposed to be cheese. But again. I had Meat and chicken Flautas- I don't know. I threw everything away before I checked. --- They are a new restaurant. You would think they would pay attention to details so that they could ensure the best customer service experience and deliver what the customers order!! If it were just for me I'd probably give them another chance. But not when my children's food was all wrong. 3. I ordered enchiladas Del Mar YUCK. I order this from every Mexican food establishment that I eat at!!! This by far is the worst. Very bland. Drowning in a sauce that has no flavor. Thick disgusting chewy cheese. And when you do get to enchilada and seafood. You taste nothing. The tortilla is gooey. Just ugh. I ordered the Mexican rice with it. This was okay. El rey has better Mexican rice. Hands down. I also ordered the black beans. ---- just throw this establishment away. The beans are not soft. It's in a watery sauce. And then they throw their tomato. Onion. Pepper. Lettuce. Cilantro melody in there on the top, not cooked it. It's really bizarre and comedic. It's like top chef attempt gone wrong. 4. It came with chips and dip. Guacamole is watery and tasteless.... gross. Salsa= grosser This is definitely not authentic food. And by far the worst Mexican food I've had in Katy thus far. Definitely not a place I would recommend or try again. Just realized this is the Fincas place...... Just a failure
