This is an authentic Shanxi(Northern state in China)restaurant. We love their steam cold noodle (凉皮) and beef burger(肉夹馍, best in Houston). However, after reviewing all the one star reviews, I feel Americans don't like it. It is difficult to survive, if only serve food for Chinese in US. You need to make compromise and make Americans like the food.

You know that time you go somewhere because the Google reviews are great and you expect something awesome? The place looks nice and clean. There are many parking spots and the exterior is well maintained. They provide complimentary hot tea. So that wraps up the positives. You order at the counter instead of the table which isn't a big deal...they don't bring you waters and the only table service happens when they bring you your food - one person at a time. The food was awful. Seriously. I don't like to give bad reviews. I really don't. But that's all I can provide for this place. I ordered the curry chicken...it was a breaded and fried chicken with a sauce that was more like gravy instead of curry. I'm not coming back here again.

Food is mediocre at best. The liangpi had no flavor until we added many different condiments. The side salad was good but the tofu skin tasted slightly off. We also got a beef rice noodle soup which tasted strange. Staff are also quite unwelcoming. The setup of the restaurant is nice though.
This place is my go to when I come to Katy. They serve very authentic Chinese Xi'an food. The food are delicious and their service is pretty good as well.

First thing I saw when I sat down was a roach underneath the table. The roach was dead yet but it was getting there. I moved to another table and ordered the beef noodle soup. The beef noodle soup was horrible. The soup was bland and no flavor. The beef were nasty and was cut into small cubes and it was also dry. It was so bad that I could only took a few bites and left.

The first visit was Ok. But the experience of our second visit was pretty bad. After we placed the order and waited about 30-40 minutes, we still did not get our food yet. The people sat to the table next to us already got their order even though they came 10 minutes later than us. Then we found out that the cashier/waiter/owner messed up the order of different orders, and our order was never taken by the kitchen. Over the whole procedure, no one even said sorry to us. The attitude was rude and we asked for a refund and left. We are very disappointed about this place and will never return.

We went there few times already, the food were pretty good and authentic, love their pork burgers, so juicy and lots of meat inside, it's a must try! the handmade noodle has great texture and great flavor, the location is kind of not easy to notice, and not too much reviews, but we always see plenty of people eating there.

Excellent fresh noodles; bit light on the vegetables/heavy on oil; good attitude service.
