Actually the smell is what brought us here. Ended up in Katy for something unrelated and was looking for something good in the area. We were heading to someone else and got a delicious whiff of indian food and had to turn around on the spot. The food was amazing, as was the service. They had different movies playing on every wall so there was no want for entertainment. Overall we have been looking for reasons to go through Katy again to be able to come to this biriyani house again. Hands down the best indian food I've had in Texas.Parking: Parking was not an issue. Also the lot is free, which is a plus.
We tried this restaurant recently for a Saturday night dinner. There were hardly any people for dine in. But we still went ahead to try the food.The place is understaffed as only one person was there to take orders, handle take outs and phone calls.Due to that service was very slow despite of his best efforts. Like the sauces were not there we tu the starters and we highlighted that. But by the time it came, we were done with the starters.The food was overall decent. Gobi manchurian, chilly paneer were good.For the main course, the breads came in first and curries came after 15 mins. We had to request for reheating the naans. So they tasted average after reheat. Paneer tikka masala was very much on sweet side. The tandoori items were too dry.They need to hire more people in service for sure.

The quality is not consistent. Sometimes it is really good and others it is less than average. The quantity of Appetizers has been reduced with new boxes for takeout. Service is good and staff takes feedback positively. This is a good restaurant but there is room for improvement.

New management took over as of 09/15/23. Their own employees are unaware of what’s on their menu. We ordered samosas and they came undercooked. Even worse ketchup was given in place of tamarind chutney. Nawab used to be our go to place for Indian food unfortunately that is no longer the case, the quality has gone down hill.

I've ordered takeout from this location before and the food was delicious. Nothing I can say bad about the food itself. Now I will say, a warning to those who want to experience this restaurant in person. Don't. It's not very "sit-in" friendly. They have two big tables set up like a formal dinner. It was so AWKWARD. There was older guy on his phone leaning against counter on the side. And a young worker attending to a lady who was picking up her order but was fussing about discounts. Only the young worker acknowledged us briefly but then we just stood there for awhile.We left.They came out soon after and stared at us as we left? Good food but only for takeout.

Excellent food….my new fav Indian restaurant in Katy hands-down. Amazing flavors, great hospitality and I was so happy with it that I asked to speak with the chef, and when I met Mr. Reddy, I couldn’t be more impressed. He was super humble and kind. I highly recommend it and I definitely plan on placing catering orders from here in the future. I even took pix of my food and sent to friends to brag how good it was.

I believe this is under new management but OMG this place is bad. Only limited drink optuoms available so clearly stock hasnt been updated, food was not great and service awful. Avoid if you can !!!!
