Yesterday, my husband, a friend, and I visited Made in Medellín. We each ordered the empanadas, which were unfortunately soft and oily—clearly not fried at the proper temperature.

We also ordered the rotisserie chicken, which was another letdown. It was warm but extremely dry, and had a strong aftertaste, like it had been sitting out in the smoke for hours.

Tried Made in Medellin and sampled a nice spread—empanada, picanha, buñuelos, pan de bono, maracuyá con leche, and a café con leche to-go.

The food itself was flavorful and authentic, but unfortunately came out a little cold, which took away from the overall experience. Service was polite but inattentive, and the coffee to-go was cold, which was disappointing.

There’s real potential here—solid Colombian flavors and a good variety—but...

It was our second time trying food here, the restaurant wasn't crowded enough for the time we had to wait for ordering, then the server was kind of rude with us. I order an appetizer (empanada) and it never comes. The food was sufficient but one of the dishes (the mojarra) wasn't fresh, too salty and saggy. Poor experience for a Colombian Cuisine in Houston, there are better options around
