The lean brisket, three strips, was very nice, but at $8 a strip, not so nice. The potato salad and cold slaw was most distasteful, very non-traditional, and had a funny taste to them that made them unacceptable. The ice tea was of poor quality. The diet coke was full of bubbles and not much else. The condiments bar was lacking in variety. The manner of serving the plate was just awful, baking tin covered with thin brown paper. No bread was available. A glance over the other sides offered gave the impression that the place cuts corners. None of the sides was in the least appealing. Adding in limited parking availability removes this "restaurant" from any further consideration as a place to eat.

Best bbq I've had in Katy. I got a the meat plate with brisket, ribs, and pulled pork plus a jalapeño cheddar sausage and .25 lbs of pork belly. All were really tasty, the ribs were especially tasty

You've gotta try the Roegels TX Barbecue Rueben. First I will say I am not a big fan of sauerkraut so, I urged them not to put that on mine. The staff is very friendly and explain the menu well, and accommodate changes. This smoked pastrami is only available Thursdays, but it's worth it. Since I ditched the sauerkraut I added on pickles and some redwine pickled onions and WOW! I would call the flavor of the afore mentioned rendition of this sandwich a symphony of smoky, savory, spicy, and tangy. A well known Texas Magazine bragged about it and I had to try it. I would do it again on any day, well any Thursday. It's worth the trip. I should have snapped a Pic, but there are lots of pics already online for this, sorry I left the Pic out.

The beans were salty, no flavor just salt. Potato salad below par. The brisket and ribs had an amazing flavor but it’s not for small children or old folks. You need teeth to eat this bbq. Idk if I caught them on a wrong day but I won’t come back to this location for sure.

If you like black pepper, this is THE BEST BBQ place in Katy. The ribs and brisket are fantastic. Don't forget to try their Texas caviar.

Stop in for a quick sandwich. Had the sausage sandwich with fries. The sausage was great, but OMG the fries were soo good. Hot, crispy, and the seasoning was outstanding.

This has now become my go to place for BBQ in Katy. Someone took me to the original off of Voss in Houston and was thrilled to see they had a location in Katy. We ate at the legendary Swinging Door for over 35 years and Roegels has excellent meats. The sides and sauces are also great. Our cashier was Gisele and even she was a great representative of this restaurant. Can’t recommend enough.

Good but not great food, especially considering the competition in the Texas BBQ scene. The pork ribs and brisket were decent, not outstanding. The fried okra was delicious. I would return and try some other dishes but I wasn't wowed on my first time here.

First time at Roegel's and won't be the last. The cashier and all the staffs were all in smiles, helpful and very friendly. We ordered the Meat Sweats (3 meat choice) and price is definitely better than Brett's.
Their RIBS were AWESOME. We like dry rub, sweet type of ribs, and this place has the best ribs I've ever had. It was moist but has the top crust that was so good, not hard or chewy, but has a bit of a crunch on the first bite, while the meat under that crunch were so tender. Their bbq sauce is so good too, sweet and a bit of tangy but not sour. Their pork belly was so delicious, super soft and flavorful. And the fries!!! The crispiest and best tasting fries I've had for a while. I can hear the crunch as I was biting to it, but not hard or dry. My son loves the fries so much, we had to order a second round.

Now, as for the brisket, We did not really care for it that much, even though it was so moist, it was like like butter soft, but the flavor was lacking. The smoked wings was ok, there was a taste of bourbon or beer and we prefer the regular smoked wings, no alcohol taste. Their cornbread pudding is the BOMB, and so is their bourbon pecan pie. We really like the decor, not too dark, not too bright, just right. The seats could be further apart, but it did not bother us. I think Roegel's is the best BBQ hands down in Katy in terms of RIBS, pork belly, fries and cornbread pudding.

We will come back and try the sausage next time. Kudos to all the friendly staffs.

Went to ROEGELS for the first time today after seeing them featured on tv I ordered the 3 meat platter with a side of loaded pogoes and corn casserole. The ribs melted in my mouth, the turkey was moist and delicious and finally the brisket, very flavorful and moist. I wish there was more, the brisket portion was very small compared to the turkey and ribs. I will definitely be back.
