Renee from NYC here. I am following up on the post made by Cory McCauley. I did indeed fly to Houston to celebrate my birthday, and I requested BBQ. When Cory said that we were having BBQ from Roegels, I was beyond thrilled! Roegels has been on my list of BBQ places to try. When I found out that despite being closed for a private party, the staff at Roegels was willing to fulfill our order, my birthday wish came true! The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered a 3 meat platter on ubereats with ribs, sausage, pork belly, potato salad, & mac & cheese. Let me start by saying it was $35. ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH THE PRICE AT ALL! The bark on the ribs was overly dry & slightly stale, the portions were trash, & I got more sausage than anything else which is a complete rip off! NEVER WILL I EVER BE COMING HERE AGAIN! The potato salad was just potatoes with a tan, & the Mac & cheese was exactly what it sounds like. Cheese & noodles. No salt, flavor, or umph to it non what so ever. A complete waste of money this is actually the worst bbq I’ve had all year & in my 28 years of living in Houston this place is easy too two worst bbq experiences ever. My 35.4k followers on tiktok will be getting this same review later on tonight so just look up “Rodgers review” around 10 pm guys! This was garbage from top to bottom.

If you haven’t been to Roegels BBQ, you are missing out. This is a family business with two locations(so far) and I just happen to live across the highway from the one in Katy. The brisket is moist and flavorful, and the ribs are always tender and juicy. One thing I don’t know if he gets enough credit for would be his sausage. They make some amazing sausage and quite a few different types. All this being said, the BBQ is amazing, but if you haven’t been in on a Thursday to try the Pastrami brisket sandwich, you are missing out. One of the best pastrami sandwiches I’ve ever had. If you want good BBQ, go try them out, you won’t be disappointed!!

My coworkers brought me here after I had dental work (the nerve of them) when they knew that Roegels is my favorite barbecue spot in all of the Houston metro! The staff was delightful and I still enjoyed a Topo Chico and the mashed potatoes! TRY THEIR BRISKET!!!

Sausage and Brisket are generously portioned onto a large buttery bun.
The quality of the meats and their preparation are exceptional
Food is amazing. Staff is very friendly and service is quick. It's a little more then we normally pay for bbq however the food is worth it.

Have heard about Roegels for a while, but never had the opportunity to stop in. That all changed yesterday when I dropped into the Katy location for a Brisket Grilled Cheese which was amazing!! The slaw was good, but needed a little more something. The beans were quite tasty with just the right amount of heat. My son had the Pulled Pork Sandwich, which he only let me have a little, bite sized sample of the bark and meat. Very good stuff! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back for a standard plate of Q.
