Great deep dish pizza

My husband and I eat pizza almost every Friday night. We decided to try Sapore Detroit Style Pizzeria this week, and boy, it did not disappoint! The crust is deep-dish perfection, the cheese isn’t mozzarella but a buttery brick cheese from Detroit, and the sauce is on top. The sauce is so flavorful I could eat it by itself with a spoon, and it’s not a heavy sauce. The pepperonis were perfectly cooked, with curled, crispy edges. On top of all that, we were well taken care of by the staff. We stayed there to eat, and the restaurant is very nicely decorated, but next time I plan on swinging by to pick up so we can enjoy it during movie night. If you haven't tried it yet, you should! I'm ruined for all other pizza places we’ve been to so far!

27$ before tax for a thin crust Chicago style knock off tavern pizza. Houston pizza is the biggest joke in the country. The fact that all these garbage pizzerias get away with charging this and having subpar food is astonishing.

Delicious! I had never had Detroit style pizza before. Employees are super cool and welcoming. A new favorite pizza place!

I'm from St.louis and have lived in Houston for 5 years now. I've been in search for the best pizza. Although I haven't tried every spot in Houston, this takes first place. I was giving up hope that Houston didn't know pizza. Sapore proved me wrong. I could eat here breakfast, lunch and dinner. Keep up the great work and don't change a thing!

This place is so good , I can’t believe it took me all this time to finally give it a try ! I half ordered supreme and half Windsor tunnel and it was amazing ! I also ordered wings since they are fresh and not frozen ! I got the sweet Greek wings 10/10! I also got a salad and the salad was fresh and good. I will be going back soon.

Great pizza, great service. We had a jeep meet up here. Food was quick and great, owner was very nice. The staff handled our large group perfectly.

I love this place and I come back as often as I can since we leave 45 minutes away.
Today I would love to please ask the guys: if you touch your face, mouth or outside your nose please wash your hands! I love this place to much to give up on it!
That’s the only improvement it needs

After reading several reviews I was looking forward to trying this place and have to say price and quality left me very disappointed. Ordered a Chicago Style Supreme, sad when you have to search for meats and veggies….in addition to majority of the bottom was not fully cooked and still raw dough. On a positive note the upper edges, that were cooked, was good….but for the price not worth in and would have been better off ordering from one of the chain pizza restaurants.

I don't know what it is about this pizza but it brought me back to something I ate in my childhood days. I absolutely love this place now and can't wait to order again! The pizza got devoured before we could take pictures.

Pizza is really good, but is not a Chicago Deep Dish at all. So, if you want a good Pizza go for it, but if you want a Chicago Deep Dish there are better options.

Ordered delivery and not for me spinach on pizza was burned and the wings are hard and not taste never again first time trying as well…

We had the small double pepperoni Detroit pizza well done and a Italian beef sandwich. The pizza was very good but the sandwich stole the show, it was delicious, loved the pepper giardinera. Thank you.
