Tried to drive through this Shipleys drive thru. Apparently you have to order at the outdoor menu, not at the window like so many other Shipleys. It wasn't obvious that we needed to order at the outdoor menu (and we didn't hear a voice on the speaker). When we got to the window, the employee said we skipped the line (which we didn't. We just didn't order at the menu) and that we needed to go back around and do it all again. The line was long (and we had already waited in it once), so we just left. It was our first time at this location and we won't be coming back

I always bring my girls for donuts and I usually get good service. Unfortunately this round, when I ordered there was not good communication going on. We said chocolate donut, she said chocolate milk. Turned into mis-hearing. We get to the window i asked to confirm what donut. And it was wrong still. She gave attitude about it and I told her this is why im confirming at the window to make sure it is right. She said she confirmed 3x. Yeah about milk & different donuts. When it was a donut, im not going to argue over it plus she had my phone & card I cant trust places or people. If I come back and she is at the window I will leave. I do trust people like that now days. Attitude over a confirmation is ridiculous..

Shipley’s Donuts is always a great stop! The donuts are fresh, soft, and delicious every single time. You can really taste the quality, and everything comes out hot and perfectly made. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly — they greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome right away. It’s rare to find a place that consistently nails both the food and the service, but Shipley’s does it. Definitely one of my favorite spots for breakfast or a quick treat! I love their bacon, egg and cheese kolaches!
I've taken my mentally challenged clients to this Shipley location for years. This morning they were $0.04 short and they wanted that $0.04! Unbelievable!! You just lost 4 customers.

The food is good but the 1 star is for the frappe which was delicious the last time. Frappe with lite caramel was my order but bitter frappe no caramel is what I received. When I called to get assistance they explained that they are all pre-made and that they are not able to provide any solutions. I asked if the manager was available and was told that it was her day off. I don’t think the staff should take any blame but the manager needs to develop a strategy for her precious staff. They were patient and kind and wanted to be helpful but were not sure how to handle the situation. They are doing a pretty steady business so they need direction prior to the crowd arrival.
This place is hit or miss. I either have a good experience or a not so good experience. I took my kids here for breakfast Saturday morning and ordered 1 sausage kolache, 1 boudin kolache, 2 donuts and some donut holes. I also ordered a large strawberry lemonade (something new I saw on a sign in the drive through)
My first issue was the drink. The size was rather disappointing because the large looked like a small. The next issue I had with this drink was it was warm, despite the ice in the cup (which was mostly melted after a few minutes of driving down 99).
My second issue was I was missing a donut. I didnt notice until I was already driving away amd had somewhere to be and did not have enough time to turn around.
My last issue was the boudin kolache. The bread was hard and the middle not warm. It didnt taste like the boudin kolaches I have had from Shipleys in the past..
This past weekend was a huge miss for this location. So disappointed.

Y'all - ever make a mistake on an online order? Well, don't let that happen here! It'll take at least 10 minutes to figure out whether you even have an order, and then another 30 minutes for the manager to FINALLY make her way to help you. Wow. God help you if you need anything other than donuts from these people. Literally 30 minutes to get told they can't help me. Only the GM can void an online order. I refused to purchase anything else because I felt I shouldn't have waited 30 minutes to be told they can't help me.
