I have been wanting to try SomiSomi for so long and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. There was a line out of the door but it went pretty quick. They even had shelving to stand by and eat. We got the soft serve cups (milk/ horchata swirl & cookies and cream/ ube swirl) plus two taiyaki (Oreo and Nutella). We absolutely loved it. Probably some of the best ice cream I’ve had in the states. The horchata/milk was top tier, every bite tasted like cinnamon toastcrunch cereal milk! Plus they let you add simple toppings at the end. The taiyaki was everything I was waiting for and I wish we got more. 10/10, 100% recommend!

The ice cream with the Taiyaki (fish-shaped waffle) was very delicious. I ordered matcha flavored ice cream which goes well with the Nutella filling of the Taiyaki.The only thing I didn't like was that there were no chairs and you have to wait and eat it standing up.Please have some basic chairs for the customers!

We always love going to SomiSomi. We got the vanilla matcha with a Nutella filled waffle fish. The line was out the door on a Sunday afternoon but it went by quick to order and to get our icecream. Staff was very efficient.Parking: Very crowded area on a weekendKid-friendliness: It’s ice cream so of course it’s great for kids!

if youre craving a sweet treat this is definitely the spot. i live in austin, but whenever we go visit family in katy we 99% of the time stop here. the ice cream has the perfect amount of sweetness and it is so creamy. the little waffle is crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. you must have nutella filling on it! the shop is so aesthetically pleasing and the staff are extremely patient. you must definitely try.

The ice cream really is soft and smooth. They dont have a lot of flavors but they few we tried were all good.The 'waffle fish', ie taiyaki is very nice, and the filling made it even better, at least for me. If you don't like things too sweet you may find the filling overly sweet - try no-filling in that case.We liked the taiyaki enough that we bought just those, which are also sold separately and are worth trying.
