What a great little gem in the center of Old Town Katy! The tortilla soup was fresh and just the perfect amount of flavor and spice. Everything served at our table was appealing and delicious. Can’t go wrong here even if the tables are a little slow to be readied for the next customers. Worth the wait! Don’t forget to grab a bag of Zeppelin coffee beans. The barista will grind them to your specs!

I tried this place this first time and had the chicken fried steak with green beans and mashed potatoes. The batter on the chicken fried steak was hot and crispy, but the actual steak had very little seasoning or flavor for my taste. The country gravy had good flavor but not enough to make up for the lack of flavor of the chicken fried steak. The green beans were fresh. Both the beans themselves and bacon were crispy with good flavor. The mash potatoes were velvety and savory.

I loved the atmosphere of this place! Its a great spot for a coffee meeting or taking kids to because of being in DT Katy. You'll enjoy the homey feel of the food and staff. The ice cream selection is top-notch, and burger was good.

I'm uncertain of the atmosphere of this establishment. Establishment is extremely clean.I believe that the pies are superb! I drove there(a good distance) just to enjoy some delicious pie.

Today I work at Katy Elementary and ordered a lunch to be picked up online. I ate my lunch when I got back to school and I only had probably three pieces of chicken in my chicken and dumplings. Ridiculous for the price you pay for a small portion to begin with. If I was at the restaurant, I certainly would’ve sent it back. I’ve eaten at Southern dough bakery since they opened and chicken and dumplings on Mondays as one of my favorites. This certainly did not stand up to the quality and quantity of their chicken and dumplings. When I got to the restaurant, I had asked two different people where to pick up a takeout order. First woman just looked at me like she didn’t know what I was talking about. I finally had to ask a woman who is preparing meals to be picked up. She said name and I told her my name she just picked it up and put it on the counter not another word not a smile nothing

I love, love, love having special places like this in Old Town Katy - bringing the charm back to the city. It was so easy to get in, place my order, and grab a comfy corner window seat with the family. Smaller shops like this can't always say that. I ordered the chicken-fried-steak, which was amazing! Will definitely be returning to try some of the other options!

Quite a quaint upscale place, brand new building in old downtown Katy. Indoor and outdoor dining. Serving line to obtain order and food. We went for the cake slices and cookies.
