I want to leave this review to specifically disagree with Latisha Wilson’s. I’m white as heck and get similar unenthusiastic treatment from the same employee every time I visit. Pulling the race card is absurd, the people before you were likely regulars. And you painted this lady out to be a racist for no reason.
If I could reply directly to her review or report it in a relevant manner I would.

Small roaches in the donut case. The worker was removing the roach but NOT removing the donuts. GROSS! Turned around even before ordering .

My first time at this donut shop and they had a great selection ?Glazed donuts are super light and fluffy and delicious!!! Also, we got Bavarian Cream donuts with very interesting and awesome flavors ?We got apple fritters and huge cinnamon rolls etc..I will come again!!!

On 6/25/23, I decided to try Southern Maid Donuts on 5508 S Peek Rd. As I waited in line, the cashier seemed friendly to the customers ahead of me. However, once it was my turn, I noticed a shift in her attitude towards me.The employee, a Vietnamese woman, was very impatient, short, and appeared irritated when I requested a box for my donuts instead of a sack. She rolled her eyes and sighed in frustration, stating that she would need to use two boxes. As a black customer, this type of treatment was hurtful, and I felt unfairly discriminated against.After the incident, I went back into the store to talk with the employee about her behavior. While she initially denied it, she later admitted to stating, “I treated you the way you deserved.” Such language only reinforced my belief that behavior was dishonest and discriminatory.I want to make sure all black customers are aware of the their treatment, so I’m sharing my experience to advise others to stay away and patronize other businesses that deserve our support. Bias has no place in our society, and we should not tolerate it from any business that serves the public.
