One of the biggest disappointments in life! My friend and I went to Spa World in Katy for a wash, thinking we’d try something new, since we’ve always gone to Gangnam Spa. Despite some minor flaws, Gangnam Spa has always been great—thoughtful design, friendly staff, and everything well-planned. You’re comfortable everywhere—whether with socks or not, and you have mats or pads—something convenient in every corner.
Here? Total disappointment from start to finish. First, they make you remove your shoes and walk barefoot through the main corridor—no socks allowed—until you reach the reception zone to check in and get a uniform. Then, in every dry sauna—like the hot stone rooms—it’s impossible to be comfortable: you can’t sit, stand, or lie down because all surfaces are scorching hot. Nothing is thoughtfully arranged—just horribly inconvenient.
Everything feels unfinished—like an old facility with peeling walls, exposed wires, and zero relaxation vibe. The atmosphere doesn’t exist. Staff? Unwelcoming. And it’s absolutely not worth it.
When you enter the separate male/female pool zones, the water is dirty and murky. Cleaning is rare. And 80% of the sit-down showers (for washing in that traditional East Asian style) were broken. So, you’re stuck with standing showers—ruining that comfort too.
And the cherry on top? Even with discounts, it’s more expensive than Gangnam Spa. We are definitely not going back. What a terrible experience—Spa World is absolutely not a spa.

Probably the best hands down hot stone bowl I had around, felt like they actually took the time and sauteed the vegetables correctly with seasoning and couldn't have been happier with the bowl. Had a very happy experience and felt filling. Would come back here again just to eat if I had the chance.

They have cut the menu down significantly. I had the veggie hot stone bowl and it was the worst Korean experience I have ever had. They gave two sides instead of the traditional sides. The sides were store bought Kimchi and a COLD SLICED HOT DOG with chili pepper flakes, placed on a veggie plate. The rice had no flavor. This is not the same restaurant as before. EAT BEFORE YOU GO. And the front of the house and back of the house were arguing like s Gordon Ransey episode.

DONT DO IT!! My friends and I went to this establishment for the first time. They scan your ID, for some odd reason, to register you. Then you can’t wear shoes, but I see no one cleaning the floors. If you don’t get completely nude you won’t have access to any water amenities. They have baby towels limit you to two, and charge extra for full body towels. The clay room had literally hairs from someone’s head in the pit, that stuck to me while I was in the pit, so I know it’s not cleaned effectively. They advertise a first responder discount, but does NOT include nurses or Doctors. They closed 2 hours early because it started raining !! It’s Houston it always rains!! Save your money, and time !!

It is very delicious & costless Korean food in town without using Spa, I and my family enjoyed food and highly recommended to my friends and family. it is remarkable place and another good thing is you don't need to pay tips to save some bucks. I am pretty sure to try the Spa World and eat the meals at Spa World Restaurant as well.
