The veggies here were delicious and fresh. But, their chicken in the Poke Bowl was really not good. It was full of chicken cartridge and not cooked properly. It was obvious they were using low cost chicken meat. Not an enjoyable experience.

There’s a plethora of poke spots in the Greater Houston area to choose from but out of all of them, Square Root Poke is my favorite place. I make my own bowl: large bowl of sushi rice with bay scallops, tuna, and salmon as the core selections, and topped with whatever I like. I eat that up so fast that my complimentary miso soup is still pretty warm when I consume it at the end of the meal. I’ve been going here since Katy Asia Town first opened and this place was amongst one of the original tenants. I think the food is fresh and I’ve never had a bad experience here. If I plan to eat at other spots in the plaza, I would order to-go after I dine in at Square Root Poke!

Tasty but portion for the price are small. About 4 oz Salmon for $15.50
Would be five stars. But the closing at 8:30 on a week day, when that area is busy on a summer night. Is a great way to lose profit. For 2 bowls I spend 45, but tonight I was getting four. Bummer I had to go to pokeworkz):

delicious food! excellent service and love the fact that you have complimentary/free miso soup when you dine in. only con is that some of the stuff you get in your bowl, the portion sizing is a little small for them.

The food quality here is good, but portion-wise, it is not worth $16 (tax included) for a large bowl. There are many choices and add-on options for your poké. However, after adding everything into my personalized three-protein large bowl, it still does not make me full at all. Everything added on is a bite-sized scoop with a not-so-large bowl of rice to begin with. I personally won't come back because of the price-to-portion ratio of this place. However, people who love poké or want to try it out can still come, but it's just average poké, nothing special.

I wish I had taken photos. The bowls are really good and filling. I'm definitely going to add to my list. Ordering ahead was easy, and our bowls were prepared as ordered.

my sister and I come here a lot and it’s honestly my favorite poke place. they always have such fresh options and I always get the raw salmon and tuna. They have amazing avocado, cream, cheese, corn, and more. I always get the same bowl, but it always hits the same. I want it more but it is kind of expensive but it’s always worth it because it’s like sushi in a bowl. I don’t know if that’s rude to say but it’s literally delicious and there’s other poke places that are not as good. As always much love from Houston and the universe.

Nice ambiance. We arrived at lunchtime but the place was rather empty; a couple left as we walked in and another family arrived while we were eating. There's space for about twelve-ish tables in the restaurant. There are some nice wall decorations that considerably brighten the place.
The food is Hawaiian-Asian fusion type poke bowls. There's a variety of pre-configured bowls that you may order or, if you are the adventure type, you may design your own bowl. I ordered the Heat Wave bowl but had the jalapenos replaced with some corn instead. The bowl came drenched with the spicy ponzi dressing but they also sprinkled some hot chili powder on it which, in my opinion, overpowered the flavor of the rest of the bowl. The other members of the party designed their own bowls but I found them a bit underwhelming. Maybe this explains the lack of a crowd in the place?
The cost for 4 people came to be around eighty bucks.
