Used to be very good for all the crazy rolls and had great service. Last time I went there the wait staff ruined the presentation of the food by tossing the plates down on the table. Eating with your eyes first is a must with sushi. Items on menu that are included are no longer included but they didn't take the time to change the menu to reflect that.

I am feeling really sad to see that Sushi Neato is still closed ?, as it is my favorite sushi restaurant in Katy. I was wondering if the pictures we had on the wall are still there and if there is any way to retrieve them? We had some special occasion pictures on the wall and would love to have them back.

Unfortunately I have to downgrade my review to 1 star. The quality plummeted with the original owner. The new owners admit that they know nothing about Sushi and rely on the staff. The staff unfortunately is not really into food safety. I have been sicken here three times. The chefs leave the glass case doors open on the fish cases even when there are no customers. This is like trying to keep your food safe home while leaving the refrigerator door open. I was cool the first time they poisoned me and thought perhaps it was just a fluke.
I eat mostly tradditional sashimi and nigeri.
I would avoid going to this place.

Sushi Neato is a great little Sushi joint.
This is a simple review. This is an excellent Sushi restaurant. The owner who is actually of Korean heritage, seems to really appreciated quality fish. Their Uni (Sea Urchin) is really, very, very good. It is always fresh (as of the writing of this review)
I am worried about them as a restaurant. With all of the competition I am afraid that attention to detail and very high quality products might be difficult to maintain.
If you love sushi/sashimi or more modern specialty rolls, give this place a try.
The ambiance is great, the owner seems very nice, I think you will find that, especially for those with kind of a refined pallet, that this place is worth a visit.
I would like to say that one day I was in this restaurant, a customer complained about seeing a bug. And by bug, let's be honest, I mean large roach.
I am very, very tough on restaurants in reference to health and safety. The couple that saw the bug was sitting next to a door. I believe that the bug probably came in from outside.
I generally sit at the bar and observe the kitchen closely. It is clean, and the sushi artists seem quite aware of food safety (ever been to a sushi restaurant where they don't close the glass in their fish case? Very bad..)
So, I am not sure if that has been mentioned, but again, in the five or six visits I have had here, I have found the quality of the food to be impeccable, the restaurant to be clean, and the chefs and staff to follow health and safety guidelines.
Give them a try.

I first came here and tried it out and since then my family and I have been coming back. They always remember the regulars and food is fast. The service is top-notch as always. I think they transferred owners though
Okay I LOVE their food. My only problem is they haven't updated their business hours on here or on the answering machine. Twice now I have made an online order for lunch only to find the place closed when I went to pick it up. If the owner updates all the hours and refunds my money for the missed lunches I'll be glad to update my star rating.

I arrived with my family at Sushi Neato and we couldn’t even tell if it was open because of the lighting. The food was great, everything tasted very fresh. Atmosphere was calming and inviting, and service was good. I wish the drinks didn’t come in cans but I didn’t mind it. Menu was kind of hard to read, and they didn’t offer many drinks. These little things personally didn’t bother me, but they might bother some people. Overall a very nice experience, would come back, 4.5/5 stars

The best sushi in town! If you looking for fresh sushi and delicious rolls, can’t go wrong here. I went here on weekday and weekend and quality is always consistent. My favs: spicy garlic edamame ( not spicy at all but good beer food); tuna sashimi ( ALWAYS BLUE FIN!) - super fresh and tender; baked rolls - cant never go wrong here. Price is right and Highly recommend!

They seemed overwhelmed and stressed. Do not have special items as claimed on the menu. No good sake is available either.We continuously requested no imitation crab on any of our rolls but were served several. They did take it back and offered compensation instantly. It's not about that. They then served several rolls as chef specials, which was okay but expected more.I completely understand it costs a lot of money to have high-end items on the menu. If you don't have them, then kindly take it off the menu. The owner came over several times and wanted to make things right. We truly appreciate her effort and her kindness of wanting to comp several items. Again, it's not what we wanted, and we made sure we paid for everything. Also, please do not serve your guests in yoga pants and a workout top.Anyways, a bit more attention to details and fresh items is needed. Our waiter was nice. It's not her fault that certain items are not available, nor has it been for a while, we were told.Hopefully, things will change a little, and we will come back.
