Tried it on Saturday 6/21 and it was great. The beef suya, the jollof rice, and the chicken suya were well seasoned and spicy, just how i like it. The zobo was also really good. Will definitely be back the next time I am in houston.

Worst experience ever! I called at 8pm placed an order for 3beef suya, walked in there at 8:30 and I was still standing in line until like 9pm. I walked up to the counter and they said oo sorry we gave your order to someone else. Like it took me 1hr to get suya?
Whats worse? I paid $48 and some change and I couldn't get a refund i should have walked away. No suya is worth that wait and I am NEVER COMING BACK HERE.

In as much as i do not like to give negative reviews, it’s inevitable for this location.
First, the workers were not nice, also had a problem that we wanted to buy a large quantity (150$), finally the taste was awful.
Location is over hyped, I found a better Suya spot right beside the location…

The owners response reflects a certain mindset — if I were in your position, I would take the time to investigate what happened. That includes speaking with your staff about the purchases made on the specific date, and perhaps reaching out to other customers who ordered around the same time to gather their feedback. This could help you verify and better understand the concerns raised in my review.
If my review were simply an attempt to promote a competitor, I would have mentioned the name of the other suya place — which, by the way, actually had better suya.
Just for clarity: we bought the large pan ($150) along with Asun and others. Typically, Asun is normally & consistently good regardless of where it’s bought — often even more enjoyable than suya. Unfortunately, the experience at your place has genuinely affected my taste and appetite for Asun moving forward.

I was excited to try the food. I have to say it wasn't great but not bad. I walked in to staff looking at me funny. I went to order and met the same ryde attitude. I ordered a chicken and rice and asked for it to not be to spicy. But I got some beef and rice and it was extra spicy to the point I couldn't even eat it. I was already home so I didn't even bother to contact them. I just threw it away. I absolutely love African food and have been enjoying it for over 30yr all over the map. This was not up to expectations or experience. And to respond to your response just to say its not that I can't stand spice. And the rice definitely didn't taste fresh. And you didn't even bother to address the rude staff. Or the fact that I ordered chicken and got so extra spicy beef.
