Recently, I’ve become addicted to boba milk tea, so I’ve been trying many different milk tea places. Honestly, I feel like I’ve wasted so much money—until I found TeaTop.
TeaTop truly cares about tea quality, especially the boba. So many places use old or poorly cooked pearls just to maximize profit. You can taste it immediately—plain, hard, or even spoiled boba that should have been discarded. Unfortunately, that’s very common.
TeaTop was a big surprise for me. Their black pearls are cooked perfectly—fresh, soft, sweet, and flavorful. A lot of other stores simply don’t know how to cook boba properly. Their pearls are bland and tasteless, but TeaTop’s boba is excellent.
The tea and milk quality are also above average compared to most places. On top of that, their customer service is the best I’ve experienced so far. There was a young guy working there (I didn’t catch his name) who had such a sweet, bright, and warm smile—it really made the visit even better.

Tea Top is certainly at the top of my list in this area. Their milk tea is perfectly balanced the sweetness isn’t overwhelming, and you can actually taste the tea without it being too milky.

In my honest opinion, the best tea shop in the Katy Asia town area. The staff are always kind, and the service is always quick even during peak hours. Though we never make use of it ourselves, there is plenty of seating for those wanting to study/work in the shop.
No matter how many new tea shops open in the area, we always find ourselves coming back here because of the consistent quality of the tea and the comforting options in drinks. You can never go wrong with Tea Top.

Their milk is somehow not fresh. I ordered a Darjeeling + Milk Foam. I tasted good at the first sip, but then my stomach started hurting, and feeling disgusting sooner or later. I drank milk tea and milk foam black tea everywhere. It's apparent that the milk was not fresh or properly stored. Never gonna come back again. I don't care how good you are, this kind of failure is unacceptable.

As a Milk Tea boba lover and near connoisseur, I can say that Tea Top has the best Boba Milk Tea in the Katy area.They are one of the very few places that use REAL brewed tea and milk in their MILK Tea—not to mention lactose free milk for those who are lactose intolerant. Many boba bars that I have visited only use flavored powders and creamer to make their “Milk Tea.” I also love that at Tea Top you can adjust the level of sweetness. I usually ask for 0% sugar and they respect my wishes. In other tea spots, vendors question your sugar level and talk you into getting at least 20%. I have visited at least 8 Boba Milk Tea locations and I can confidently say Tea Top is the best! I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.
