It was a Friday evening so it was busy, about a 40min wait for a table for 2. The bar was open so we walked right in and sat there! Service was good and quick. The steaks and sweet potato was really good! Rolls are the favorite!

Always slaps. I feel like the only way you can have a bad experience here is if you're server just never comes to your table and brings you no silverware or food.

Extremely Busy Location with Good Food, But Inconsistent Experience
⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3 out of 5)

There are several Texas Roadhouse locations across the Houston area, but this one in particular is extremely busy, largely due to its location in a heavily trafficked shopping strip. Parking is very limited, and on evenings—especially weekends—you can expect a 45-minute to 1-hour wait just to be seated.

Once inside, the dining area is crowded and loud, and while the food is consistently good, the service can be hit or miss. It often takes extra effort to flag someone down for drink refills or additional items, and overall timing is slow. Expect your full dining experience—from seating to exit—to take about 1 to 1.5 hours.

They’re very accommodating for children, which is a big plus. The kids’ menu is solid, and they’re enthusiastic about celebrating birthdays with fun flair. The macaroni and cheese is especially tasty. They also tend to do a good job cooking steaks to order, and portion sizes, while satisfying, can feel a bit on the smaller side depending on what you order.

This particular location has a tight layout, so parties of four or more may feel a bit cramped, and the waiting area often overflows—you may want to stay in your car until your table is ready.

A big drawback: the restrooms. On our visit, there was a line to get in, and once inside, the bathrooms were messy, with toilet paper on the floor, an empty soap dispenser, and paper towels left out. Definitely an area that management should keep a closer eye on.

Final thoughts: While we enjoyed the food and the kid-friendly atmosphere, this particular location feels overwhelmed by the volume of business. If you’re craving Texas Roadhouse, we’d recommend trying a location a bit farther from central Houston for a more relaxed experience. We’ll return—but likely to a different branch.

I've always had great customer service until today when I came across Ms Angelica 😕 Her energy didn't match the other cheerful staff. Long story short my son has ordered ranger meals for years she the first to say oh if he's over 12 the drink is additional..ok fine but how would you know he's not 12 if you don't ask...🤨 Meanwhile he just turned 13 8/1 so if we came in last month what makes you an age detective should I have brought a birth certificate?. His dad is 6'6 so naturally he's tall. Fast-forward I ask can I have a to go box for my bread. Hee reply No I'll have to charge u for 6?!?! Since when? Maybe she had a off night but I never want her as a server again. Texas Roadhouse has always been a happy place. There are ppl that simply do there job then there's her who does the absolute most to complain.Nobody likes those
