Fresh, and tasty food along with excellent service. Only thing I would change are their fires...tend to not be crispy..

I was really craving empanadas and found this place searching Google maps. I ordered 3 different “entree style” empanadas - Chicken BBQ, Bacon burger & English. Cheeseburger was definitely my favorite ! I love that they were all filled so well & not tons of bread with a little bit of filling ( pictures included ). The ENGLISH was ok, I expected more from it. The filling was a bit dry like it could’ve been made the day before, but I loved the potatoes inside with the vegetables. The BBQ chicken was good but I wasn’t wowed & I actually ordered the Texas BBQ or whatever comes with brisket and I didn’t realize until I drove away. No big deal because I’m gonna go back anyway & I would’ve tried the BBQ chicken eventually. The breading is a bit thick and doughy. Overall, good bang for your buck, very nice employees, no inside seating so prepare to take your food to go, must wear a mask to enter, large selection of entree style and dessert empanadas, would recommend. Oh and the chimchurri is so yummy!

I’ve been going to the Marini’s in the Westchase area of west Houston for 10 years or more. About a year ago my wife and I moved out to Katy, and I am so glad to once again, be living 5 minutes from the best empanadas around! My personal favorite is the Texan BBQ, and my wife can’t live without the Chicken Cordon Bleu and the Apple Gabriela for dessert. The Marini family truly cares about their product and provides excellent customer service. They have earned my weekly business.

I have visited both the Katy and Westheimer locations. While their menus are considerably different, you can expect the same exceptional quality at both locations. I have never been disappointed by the level of service or quality of the food. And I thoroughly enjoy every empanada I have eaten from Marinis.

Horrible empanadas. The dough is too thick, very dry and can barely bite the filling together with the dough because of how thick and empty the inside is. As for the filling of the savory options, they were just average. Did not like that there is too much juice spilling all over and falling apart when you were eating them. Is just very poor design of the skin and fillings ratio and just horrible in the first bite. I also tried the dulce de leche empanadas. I have to say that their dulce de leche taste like poor sugar and not great at all. Even the dulce de leche that you can buy from the jar ( eg san ignacio brand) taste better than theirs. See picture for the details. We had to grab our lunch else where since we had to throw away our food and still feeling hungry. Not going to be back here again. On the bright side, the customer service is great and the area is great. You guys can do better. Keep it up!

The food was poor and greasy first time a couple years back. Tried to go back to give second chance saw the signs on windows playing politics with their restaurant. Don’t force masks and your fearful agenda. Be very grateful that anyone would even dare to pay and eat your food when there’s thousands of restaurants as well as fast good options. Be humble your customer service lacks be more accommodating to customers not accommodating yourself and your preferences. Definitely not be returning here at all just on mason alone there’s delicious empanada places that allow you to put whatever you want on your face and don’t DISCRIMINATE when you don’t ware a mask! It’s sad I have to explain to my children what discrimination is and refusal for service for a face mask.Response to owner comment. Taco Bell has been around for 50 years yet there food and customer service speak for themselves. Now with that being said I’ve lived in Katy for over 25 years and this is how you treat your community that has been given you business for 18 years having a response of pride to my review and said go eat somewhere else. Wow. Lol I will definitely inform my community about this establishment. Discrimination is not what we need now. Try servicing the community with a response of unity. And if it’s not about the money don’t charge for the empanadas.

These are the best empanadas I've ever had, and the chimichurri sauce is also second to none. I've been eating at Marini's for many years.

We have been trying to go here for several years after seeing it on DDD. Today we made it. We purchased 10 different empanadas for two of us; 5 meat and 5 desert. Absolutely fantastic. Wish this place wasnt so far from where we live. Will definitely go back.

Nothing wrong with the empanadas but way overpriced!!!!! $3.50 per empanada it's plain robbery. They are not so big. Huge profit for them

So good. Personally love the Chicken Pot Pie and BBQ Empanadas. Mom tip...these are absolutely fabulous to pack in your kids lunches! They can easily pop them in the microwave at school. My kids love to have these for lunch.

This place has the best empanadas in Texas. I have tried others, tried making them at home but nothing hits the spot like these. Im not a fan of sides and wouldn't bother ordering them - I guess some people need a little something extra and I'm definitely not one. The empanadas are enough! Seriously so yummy and fresh. My family loves the Texas bbq, New Yorker and chicken Florentine. Seriously the best and they also have some yummy dessert ones as well! Don't skip on dessert seriously. Get a couple of the dolce du leche! They are fantastic.

Love this place! We've been coming here for years and the empanadas never disappoint! The employees are always so friendly as well. The southwest black bean and the Mac n cheese are amazing! Must try!

Consistently hot, tasty, made to order empanadas. They have something for even the pickiest of eaters in the group. We typically get the burger, pizza, 4 cheese, eggplant parmesan, a few of the traditional varieties and never have leftovers. The chimichurri sauce is addictive too.

Food made to order. We were surprised there was no more seating, all chairs gone & tables pushed to the walls, pickup only. Would have been nice to at least have seating for to go orders.
