We sat at the sushi bar and asked to enjoy the Omakase experience. The chef was fantastic! We told him we would try anything but a couple of us didn't like spicy. He prepared many dishes for us, each one absolutely phenomenal! This place is an absolute gem. The service was fantastic, everyone super friendly and beyond helpful. Absolutely fantastic experience.

Came here for lunch with a friend. Not sure why I had to give a credit card for a deposit to make the reservation. It's a new restaurant that was empty when I walked in. Presentation of the food was great, quality was so-so but the service was impeccable. Great staff and they were attentive.

We finally found our Japanese spot in Houston! We went out for a casual Tuesday sushi dinner and ended up with an unexpected elevated dining experience. This place has a quaint charm to it that's deceiving because everything from the food to the service will blow you away. We enjoyed some nigiri, karaage, a la carte sushi, cold, and hot plates. Everything was great and we were well taken care of. Top tier quality especially for the price point. Thanks again!

What a gem! They recently opened in Katy Asia town by Mango Mango. Interior is so quaint yet upscale. Few sesting so it's a bit cramped but plenty of sushi bar seating. The seafood was so fresh, with some fish flown in from Toyosu Market in Japan. The oysters were on the smaller side but so fresh it did not taste fishy. The food was flavored so well, nothing too strong, and complemented the seafood perfectly. The softshell crab fried to perfection paired with papayas and tomatoes in a citrus-y sauce. Even the sauce topping the sake toro was delicious! Portions are on the smaller side for the price you pay but the food is so worth it! Would definitely come back when we are in that part of town again.

I had really high expectations for this place. Let me tell you the conclusion first. My husband and I ate more than $200 for ( $260 with tax &tip) for our lunch, but we were still hungry. The size of sushi was way too small. I've never seen such a tiny sushi in my life. It was about half the size of my pinky and my pinky is very small. The size affected my appetite badly and we stopped ordering sushi. The price was high end, but the portion of food was really disappointing. Once again.. it's like a miniature sushi. My husband and I concluded not to go this place. Once is Enough.

For my wife's birthday we took her to Torii for an amazing omakase experience. This was our first omakase experience ever. Only heard about it on social media so I was intrigued enough to take for her special day. The food and chef were amazing I will include pics of the foods we tried with the name of the dish. The ambiance wasn't anything special. We sat at a bar in front of the glass. I imagined there would be a special area for such an expensive dining experience especially since I had to make a reservation that would have cost us $200 to miss. The bill was a little more than I anticipated but we weren't really sure how long the whole dining experience was gonna last. I thought it was gonna be a set price for items the chef prepared. But this is the problem with using your imagination about an experience. All that aside I would have easily gave 5 stars if it would have been a nicer arranged seating and if the price was a little better. We definitely enjoyed every bit of the food. They prepared brussel sprouts in a way that made them so delicious and I've never liked brussel sprouts, ever! We will be back for more specific items but probably won't do the Omakase again.

The food is good, people serving/chef very nice and the ambient is nice. Then, why the 1 star review? For me at least it's about the value.Their Sashimi combo comes with 6 pieces that are 1/2 as thin as any other Japanese place for $25.Then I asked for a couple more pieces on the menu for 5 and 6.5, but I was informed that I had to order at least 5 of them, so I politely declined. Then the chef said he could make a nigiri w/o rice (I had told him I don't eat rice), then it would basically it become a sashimi. But to my surprise, the price for the riceless nigiri (same fish listed as 5/6.5 per sashimi on the menu) was 8 and 16.5!So I ended up paying $50 (w/o tips, $58 w/tips) for 8 pieces of Sashimi (at lunch time) that are 1/2 of the normal size in other restaurants. For comparison, a 9-piece sashimi combo in similar restaurants at lunch time goes for ~$22. If I were to add the same extra fish, it would probably come to $30 ($35 with tips give or take). But again, with 3 extra pieces (and all of them much bigger).I had also not understood what "Japanese inspired" meant. I guess it's that the chef will furnish the fish with the sauce (type/quantity) and wasabi as he feels it's the correct way. They don't provide the soy sauce/wasabi like most other places. I believe their idea is to replicate the feeling of an Omakase place. But to be honest, if I want Omakase (and I have been to many), then I'll look for a place that is truly Omakase (and pay the premium for it, which normally it's well worth it).Anyways, I go out for sashimi every week, but unfortunately, despite everything else being OK, I wont' go back as I just feel that value is not there.

Super delicious! It's on the pricier side but the quality calls for it. The food was well seasoned and balanced. You can tell the effort that went into every bite. I would come again.

I made reservations for a lunch time business meeting. I showed up early waiting for my meeting. I noticed a couple walk in and immediately walk out. When my guest showed up we walked into an empty restaurant. We were told they had decided to not open until 4:00PM that day. He then went on say that he should have checked the schedule yesterday. I would not recommend this restaurant due to the extremely unprofessional approach to business. On top of this, they require a credit card for reservations in case you don't show up.

I went here this evening. The chef saw us at the door but was too busy chatting it up - pretty rude. Be humble and kind is my advice. Greet your f@$&& customers!!! Then we were asked if we had reservations when we walked in as if the place was packed and people were lining up to go there. Well it didn't look so busy and the place was like an igloo. Decor was ok nothing special. My mom and I sat for a while. I tried to make eye contact twice with the waitress. Then she and I walked out. Don't bother going here. I've eaten at Michelin star restaurants and crazy good places all over. This place is in Katy. With service like what I experienced I'm not even going to try again. Who sells nigiri as once piece rather than two? I give this place not even a year before they close.

Food not good. Chewy seaweed. Half size sushi. Overpriced even on happy hour. Attentive service.

Must try if you're in the Katy area and want some fresh sushi! We came during lunch and got the lunch special of the 5 nigiri special. Everything was so fresh and all their fish is flown in daily from Japan. The service was very attentive and had so much precision and background knowledge of each plate. Can't wait to return to try more!
